Default 10/7 - Vette Doctors Pro 8 Shootout - Be there

The Vette Doctors Pro 8 Shootout presented by Neverlift Racecraft is back underway after two consecutive rainouts. The championship points are taking a stir as points leader Paul Ziajski has sold his solid twin turbo Z06 and it's gone from the states to Russia. Unless he gets behind the wheel of a competitive ride, which is not beyond the realm of possibility, the door is open for the new returning drivers to make a move to the championship. Additionally, word is that Mark Shaw, 3rd in points, has hurt the motor and is done for the season.

This puts Alan Eckert, in the ECS Supercharged entry, in a good position to take the championship as he enters in 2nd place with 1 point behind Ziajski and 1 ahead of Shaw. We could see Angelo Valla with his low 8-seocnd C3 Corvette and 4 points make a push to first place. At the last race, which was rained out after qualifying we saw the return of Paul Major with the Vette Doctors built single rear-mounted turbo make a 8.13 second pass which he subsequently followed a few weeks later with a 7.96 second pass at an Atco test session. We also saw the return of former champion Mike Mitchell, in the Banmann Racing prepped C4, also threatening to make a 7-second pass but not getting a clean run. Rumblings of the return of Bill Maloney in his new Vette Doctors single turbo Corvette Coupe are being heard as we recently saw video of his Corvette being fired up for the first time.

Of course we cannot count out the cars of Rob Zona (Cartek), Jason Anderson (Independent) and Tommy Michalkowski (Anger Management) as we have seen in heads-up racing, anything can happen. There are three races left for the Pro 8 Shootout with Nov 4 and 18 being the other two dates.

Of course we will also be having our East Coast Supercharging Corvette Challenge for our bracket racers so you can come down to watch or race yourself and still catch the fastest Corvettes on the track.
