I would expect 2.73s unless you have the performance package with 3.23s.

you can always take it to the dealer and have them print out all the options that came on your car including the gear ratio

Performance gears on a C5 A4 were 3.15's IIRC. You should be able to scan the Vette sites and find the option code and then check the glove box.

Most came with 3.15s. Either way, I'd change them to 3.73s

I have 3.90s and with a z06 they are perfect. my car makes over 450rwhp and I did not want any more gear for future mods.

just drive your car in 3rd gear at 75mph for a little ways and what ever your rpm is thats what gears you have.

No need for rediculous tests, just check your option codes.

GU2 - you have the standard 2.73:1 ratio

G92 - you have the optional 3.15:1 ratio

Default Gears

If stock Should be a little sticker right on the back of the diff telling you what gear it has. I have a 6 speed (not ZO6 they have taller first 2 gears) I have 4.10 gears and my first gear in the trans is 2.66 (2.96 in the ZO6) first gear is 40mph all tire spin 2nd is 65mph still lots of spin on city streets this is the gear I launch in now. 3rd is 90mph still spins some, 4th gear is over 100mph mark and has spun tires at upper rpm in 4th 295/35/18 f1's 333rwhp 336rwtq at 5000rpm Stock Maybe I need new tires maybe it was slick roads Maybe I was starting to take off LOL Top speed est. 166mph 1/4 mile? never been to a track I think gears are the best bang for the buck.
