Default C6 Headlights.

I have a question on this style headlight.

I know the C6 uses HID low beam lights with a projector housing. Is the High beam an HID light as well, or is it a Halogen?

I did a little research and now I'm thinking they are low beam HID only.

Reason I ask is for a non pop up swap over on my TA. I'll either use these, or BMW bixenon projector housings. I want to go with the C6 setup, due to the fact that I want 2 lights in each housing.

I'm pretty sure the high beams are tungston/halogen projectors. I'm not a headlight guy so don't ask me what that means... ask me something like the dynamic compression on a stroker with 66cc heads and a 236/242 cam

The high beam is not a HID as well. It is a Toshiba 9011 HIR bulb, very similar to a 9005 bulb but it puts out a lot more light. I did the 9005 modification on a set of these Toshiba 9011 HIR bulbs and installed them in the low beam sockets of my 00 Vette. Big improvement. Way better then Sylvania Silverstars.

Ok, thanks for the clarification.

What does the socket look like for that 9011 Toshiba? I wonder if there is an HID kit out there with the right 9011 socket type.
