2003 C5 Z06
Matt
My grandmother can drive one quicker than 12.9...I've turned 12.28 in a bone stock 2001 Z06 385 HP.. a 2002-2004 405 HP will run a 12 flat or high 11s with the right air on a good track with a good driver..the car has a shipping weight of 3045 pounds compared to the rather rotund GTO and it pulls over a G on a skid pad..pretty stong numbers for a stock automobile..nuff said..
You might as well skip the base C6 and go straight to the C6 Z06. Maybe that will be enough to impress you.
I guess your not looking for performance, as the C5 Z06 will blow the C6 away in every department. If you can't tell the difference between a GTO and a Z06, maybe you might want to consider a honda civic.

Right on!!! Oh yeah, your gonna have fun driving the Z06 manual... yeah... fun.
Now I remember why I bought an A4 f-body and C5 instead of a M6. I haven't driven a manual in 7 years.
Burn-out, stall, burn-out, thud, thud, thud (let go of clutch to fast), now drifting forward at 5 mph when going forward slowly, BRAKE, stalling sound, stalling sound, push clutch, BRAKE DON'T FORGET TO BRAKE.
Burn-out.
That's what I get only driving it on weekends.
It's not like driving my old Saab 900S or even a Ford Ranger.
