Corvette Exhaust ok one of my friends just got a 2004 vette and he wants it to be louder. I am tring to find out which cat back would be better for him to get.
he is thinking about hooker or maybe magnaflow. any inputs about these two would be helpful.

I've heard that the Corsa or Bora exhausts are loud, someone who's experienced either of them may chime in...make sure he knows that I've heard that some people complain of the "drone" effect of some of the aftermarket exhausts.

B&B bullets here and they are awesome! There is no other sound out there from all the exhaust I have heard on C5 cars. It is deep and extremely loud when combined with headers and no cats.
Go to the muffler shop, pay them $150 to cut the stock mufflers off and weld-in pieces of pipe with tips.
It sounds great when you are running cats and stock exhaust manifolds. Otherwise, it'll be deafening/too raspy.

I've got the same set up and it's sweet sounding...it's much more raspy than deep "muscular" when you get the revs above 4k. I spin mine to ~6800 at red-line and love every second of the sound.
if he wants to read ad nauseum about exhaust sounds have him check out the vetteforum...they like to talk about this a lot but it generally comes down to Corsa (pace car) and borla (stinger) but the stinger guys generally have issues with resonance...i don't' know anyone who get resonance with the Corsa systems.
Best of luck, either way have him make his vet get some sound, they're WAYY to quiet stock

Here is mine. LT headers with 1 3/4 primaries and a 3" collector, Bassani O/R X pipe, and the Borla XR1 race catback. I love it. It sounds raspy while reving it... but it sounds badass under a load! I like it a lot because its quiet while cruising but goes absolutly nuts under WOT.

I've got the Corsa Indy's (pace car) no cats and Dynatech Long tubes. I get compliments all the time from people. Im getting H/C G5x3 112lsa, so it should be interesting... 
Tell your friend to get in touch with corvette club in the area. There's no substitute for hearing aftermarket exhaust systems in person. What others might like may sound like crap to him.
