The 2000 has the best cam for a C5 non Z06, also has the newer Z51 set up so if you are looking for handling and performance, it would be you best option. Many of the 2000 sold on either coast had the pup cats and they made 345 hp, the rest made close to 350. That is why some 2000's dyno better than others.

00 FRC (hardtop) they are the closest thing to a Z06. I had one before my Z and loved it. Can get the optional HUD and Bose, and all are six speeds.

ive got a torch red 99FRC that has HUD. i even read a book that stated this option wasnt available until 2000. but ive got one. oh and by the way i love it and it hauls *** for the mods 224-224 cam 5.3 heads ls-6 intake and traps 126 NA with 28mpg.

Go for the newest and least milage if you can. Thats what I would do since they are pretty much the same car for all those years up to 05.

i got a 97 artic white coupe and ive had no major problems. it only has 68000 miles. there is no really bad year for a c5 they are generally good cars. just got to find one that was taken care of well
