raced a ls1 gto so i raced my c5 vert against ls1 gto.
it really didnt suprise me, i pulled about 2-3 car lengths, and then i let off. we started at about a 25 roll and ended around 100.
the goat was a 6spd, mine auto. so it wasnt a bad race but, im deff. not happy with the power output. its going to get heads and cam by next winter. its needed

lol the ls2 gto really isnt that fast im pretty surprised i raced one the other day from a 35 roll outta 2nd umm yea i put 4 lengths on him by 100 but im kinda modded and he was stock but it was pretty funny the dude talked serious sh#t i got a cam bigger than the ms4 and trickflo w/ slp loudmouth. u can tell obviously im not stock....what an idiot

I wouldn't waste my gas on a GTO becuase of my previous experience racing one in my V. I have a bunch of Vids of the bashing, i will try to post them. It was a brand new auto ls2 goat and i took it hard from rolls and when we raced off the line I had atleast 4-5 cars to 100.

You have to consider the GTO isnt a car developed to compete with the Vette. They're two completely different cars. That'd be like you beating a Mustang GT. Congratulations.

One of the slowest versions of the C5 against an updated LS1 in a GTO with a manual. I see no problems there.
I personally love the GTOs!! Watch out for a LS2 version...
