I'm active duty AF. Once you are in switch over to USAA. I do all my banking, retirement, and insurances through them. I pay about 80 bucks a month full coverage or a 2000 coupe.

Considering there's around a 30 year period where there was no GTO, then we got a 3 year run of them.... we don't have much choice here, do we? hehe

I'd buy another one if they continued to offer them. That being said... HELL YES I would like to have a Z06, but not as a daily driver. When I can afford it, I will likely get one as a weekend/fun car, but the GTO can't be beat for comfort, civility, and it still has enough power to keep me smiling. Plus it's more practical for taking out clients, etc, etc.

I just had a tool box, floor jack and pole, 2 jackstands, spare parts and a laptop in the car, and still had room for someone to sit

so yea its official....i WANT A Z06....just got back test drove a 04 z had exhaust, intake, and big *** i forge wheels which looked badass....18k miles torch red and torch red interior, it was F'in awesome stomped it at 40 in second and it got sideways on me, didnt get to flog it much as the guy was riding with me but everything about the car i loved. it rode awesome sounded amazing, handling brakes...everything....then i went and drove a new 06 gto 6sp....impressive engine power over the ls1 gto's but it was no vette....for a brand new car i would have figured they would have balanced the wheels and it had gear whine....i liked everything about the vette better though. i felt like i was in an old man car driving the gto compared to the vette...wish the dealer didnt want 37999 for the car though, although the wheels and michelin pilots prob cost 4 grand and the intake and exhaust already on it.....ill keep my eye out for a low mileage c5zo6 later this year when ill have bout 10 grand to put down....driving i was all smiles though
