Video of GTO Bashing! Pics of new mods.... I went home this weekend to work on my Z alittle. NOthing big, just a ported TB, intake tube and a Hurst. I got this dude with a 400wrhp LS2 GTO to run me a couple of times. He had Fast 90 and alot of goodies..... My **** stock compared to his GTO.

Wifey came home yesterday (normally drives her lexus IS250) and a new GTO owner there 'challenged' her lexus. He promptly shut up when she replied "no, but I have a vette at home with nitrous I'd run ya with"
I don't consider it a "GTO" thing, just ignorance.

Sounds like you have a helluva gal there...good gofast smarts and everything! hahaha. My wife used to get pi$$ed if I jumped on my Z while she was riding, but then the funny thing was once we got back home, she'd laugh and say " damn, that was actually fun."

I hate it when the GTO guys come up to me and say "its got a LS2" and I say I "youre 700 lbs heaiver", a LS1 with the right bolt-ons will smash a stock (and sometimes modded) LS2 GTO

GTO's are damn nice cars. Good fit and finish and very comfy. No I wouldn't trade the Vette for one, but I would love to have one to drive around. And Vettes will weigh differently based on options. My coupe weighed around 3170 with a full tank.

My car (a coupe) on a actual car scale WITHOUT ME IN IT w/ half tank a gas weighed 3130 lbs, so my actual CURB weight would be around 3090 lbs making the GTO about 630 HEAVIER, my buddies 04 Z06 was exactly 60 lbs lighter than that w/ same amount of gas so the curb weight stated on GOOGLE (which I know that where you are getting it from) is INCORRECT GTO's are A LOT heavier. Im not bashing just stating the facts...
well the GTO i posted about the other day, has since (after only owning it 30 days.lol) added a cam and headers which i help install. lol
so i dont think im gonna be pulling on the goat anymore, atleast til my cam gets here

You are mistaken on the weight of a C5 Z06 3045 LBS is the shipping weight with 3 gal of gas in it. It looks like it is pretty close to 700 lbs to me.
My ZO6 with 1/2 tank of gas, and numerous road supplies, plus my helmet weighed in at 3,080....They are much lighter than reported.....
It definitely takes a lot more power in a heavier car to combat the ZO6...take a look at all the higher power Cobra's that have problems with Z's
