What can this noise be????!!

What can this noise be????!! Ok to start off I just recently bought this car and it only has 28,000 miles now, but its making a weird noise coming from the rear in the drivers side. Sounds like a clicking noise click noise that only does it when driving really slow like when backing up (sometimes) or when taking off from a dead stop really really slow (not even gasing it but just releasing the clutch). I wanna say its some type of spring or maybe a shock, but it sounds like it can also be something loose hitting but it never does it while gasing it a lil from a stop (vibration i guess). Do u guys think it could be my rear end or an axle???!! or maybe even a leaf spring since i heard these cars have em?? Suspension problem Or can it just be something minor??
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Oh and I did try taking it to the dealership today but they were closed in the service department

no leaf springs btw. (atleast not the kind you'd expect)
do you have aftermarket exhaust???? it could be rubbing against something like the rear swap bar...

bone stock exhaust. my buddy stood outside the car while i moved it up and down in the driveway today and he said the noise sounded like it was coming from the rear drivers side caliper or wheel. wth could be up with this shiet?

rear could be messed up... I've never heard of anyone having rear problems.. while thats weird to say.. Usually when these rears go they go out with a bang. I wonder if you maybe have a broken output shaft. I've heard a car can be driven with 1 broken OPS but i'm not sure.

I dunno man, my car runs and shifts perfect and it makes no noise other than when leaving off the line really really slow. But I dunno, I took it in monday afternoon and all ive gotten so far from the dealership is "its coming from the driveshaft, or transmission". Which is kinda funny since i told the dumbass tech that drove the car that I thought it was coming from the rear end somewhere (like driveshaft,trans, irs, etc). But he kept claiming it was an "exhaust spring messed up"......lol, it took his *** ALL damn day to figure out he was wrong! He replaced the "spring" and it didnt change **** lol

OMG I hate dumb techs with a passion. I dropped my car off to have new tires put on it. I had a tire pressure sensor i fixed on my own and gave them it to them and told them i need it swapped into.. I got a call an hour later saying the pressure sensor is broken... what do you mean??? it wont' let air *** through.. I told them Bullshit i'm coming down.. he showed me how it wouldn't take in air.. I had to show him that he had the tire sitting on the sensor which probably is going to break it anyways but it was also blocking the blow hole on it so of course air can't pass. Guess what. 10mins later it worked... huh.. weird???
Couple things to check.
The bushings on the sway bar.. Makes ure they are not dried out/cracked.. Make sure it bolts up at both ends. ( a broken end link will probably equal some noise)
Assuming your sway bar is ok...
there are leaf springs that goes form wheels to wheel... these are a a composit material check them...... check that it's not broken and that it bolts up. You will know what i'm talking about when you see it.. .Looks like a thin black wooden board..
If everything is ok in the suspension it's probably drivetrain noise form the tq tube (drive shaft but it's not a drive shaft)

check and make sure that the brake caliper/ caliper mounting bracket bolts are all tight. Maybe the emergency brake is rubbing on the rotor. ?Try and jack the back of the car up and put the car in nuetral. Then turn the tire by hand and see if you hear the clicking noise. Start by if the noise is there removing the caliper and pads, put the tire back on and see if the noise is still there.

I had the same noise coming from my vette. I traced it back to what I thought was a bad bearing/hub assembly. Come to find out, the 3 bolts that held the hub in where loose!!! I already bought the replacement hub $280, so I put it on anyways. The noise was gone after that. Jack-up the rear of the car until the tires are off the ground. Grab the tire and see if you can wiggle it from top to bottom and then side to side. If it moves, you have found your problem. Hope this helps.

oh and while I didnt have the car they gave me an 04 mustang gt convertable 5spd...had some fun before i took it back hehe
