I've been reading that guys who put these in C6s have trouble because the car disables the airbag. Also, those with side-airbags have issues as well, such as beeping idiot lights and such. Any solution to this?

Of course there is a solution.

You need to take the seat controller and harness from the factory seat and leave it plugged in under your manual seat.

We have not looked into that. Our goal was to first see if we could provide a less costly seat that would fit. Let's see if anyone here that has done it has any input.

We are looking into pricing to sponsor on larger Vette forums. Unfortunately, if we do that we may have to raise the pricing on the seats to cover advertising costs. Since we don't have many sets coming (12 total between black leather and cloth) we were hoping to generate enough interest here.

I know what I posted above works. It took me a while to figure it out but when I installed C6 seat into my C5 I had the same problems.

You get codes if check your system for the SCM (Seat Control Module).
Try it you'll see what I am talking about.

Picture below of SCM

If the seat you removed had airbags would the computer module recognize they are now missing?

I don't think so. I have a set of C6 seat in my vette with that had the side air bags.

I had to use the C5 SCM because the C6 SCM is a different wiring bus. I would bet the SCM gets a signal from the air bag controller thru the SCM so I am 90% sure this would work.

The reason why I say this is I had a 2002 Z06 and it would not run without the SCM in place in the drivers' side.

These are being imported and we will not have anything before June. Until we receive a ship date in May we will not have an estimated arrival date but it could even be late in June.

Don't raise the price until you have to advertise on that other forum that us over here can get these at a good price and then advertise for you on that other forum and then raise the price.

You'd probably fit without a problem. They were not tight on me 5'7" 190 32-34" waist.

Mark, I'm pretty sure you only have 11 sets available.

This would be great for us drag racers. The problem with stock seats is the fact that they move when you get out or in, what a pain in the arz. Manual for me anyway. Also, do you have a pic of the cloth seat? I like the cloth for the fact that guys which like to wear tank tops won't have to worry so much about sticking to our seats. So, at this point, I think I would like a pair of cloth with red thread, if they look of quality, which I am sure they will looking at the leather seats. keep us updated.

the leather ones look nice and Im in for the black leather (yellow stitching would be nice for my car but red could work. 03 yellow zo6). I will help get the word out on other forums once I see them and hopefully keep pricing low.

BitViper has already started the thread below.

Most forums do not allow what they consider advertising for non-sponsors. CorvetteForum.com has the rules below.

"Forum members are welcome to sell a Corvette or Corvette parts they purchased for their own personal use. Anything else is considered to be a commercial sale."

"Members are not prohibited from mentioning it when they have a good (or bad, for that matter) experience with a non-supporting vendor. But such mentions cannot be so specific (address, phone number, e-mail address, URL, price, part number, etc.) and so frequent that they become marketing and promotional references."

Here are some pictures of how our seat will install on the factory C5 tracks. We expect these seats to arrive around the third week of June.
