Agreed. I don't really see how the Z06 is really that much more to mod than a WS6. Maybe the exhaust and CAI is more but other than that.

just the direction i want to go with it is more expensive than i intended. just not happy overall with the vette. its a nice car, but i had way more fun in the WS6. the whole exhaust setup is more expensive. as well as air intake. try buying a part to fix on the vette. you will see what i mean. you are really just paying for the name. i mean look at it. i had a turbo setup on my WS6 for around $5000 total. i cant even get a supercharger for that price on the vette.

Well, I haven't had any issues (fingers crossed) with my car that required me to buy non go-fast parts. I can see you're point about FI though. Pretty steep for a tt vette at around 10k.
If you're only interest is making a 1/4 mile car a C5Z would not be my choice anyway.
Good Luck with the sale.

New parts for Vettes are definately expensive. If you want good deals, go used. Most C5 owners don't beat on their cars very hard, so used parts are almost always in good condition. You can easily find a used TT or SC kit for $5k and the only thing it'll lack is a crank pinning kit if its a SC setup.

wow i can do a new 427 engine package with cam and exhaust in my 03 z06 for $11,000 installed and guarenteed to be low 11's! i think your price should be about $25,000 for 01 Z06!

Good luck but i would not sell my Z06 for anything!

personally i think the price is too low. I got my 01 Coupe for the same price with 54k miles and $12k in mods. You should consider upping the price a bit

Sucks to hear you selling the car but congrates on having a baby soon. At least your wife will still let you have a f-body. Good luck on selling your car. My fiance knows that I will never get rid of the vette, unless its for a C6 z06, just like my dad.

i picked up my TR/Mod red 01' Z06 a few weeks ago for $21,000 with 73,000 miles on it. the markes not really there right now and would be wise to hold on to it untill the spring if you can.
