Test Drove a 98 Vette

I just got through test driving a 98 LS1 Vette. I was not impressed. Didn't seem to have anything down low. Is this normal?

Do you just think it was just because it is geared so high?

If it was an auto it probably had 2.73 gears. Also even with the same power the 'vettes feel less violent and more planted. Put some 3.73 gears and a stall in the c5 and it will feel like what you're used to.

95k The motor was quiet. Drove tight. Looked completely stock. Does having gears installed in a Vette cost more then a Camaro? It pulled good up top.

It might not have 2.73's, check your RPO codes. Mine has 3.15's.

My vette doesn't have that harsh off the line feel like my LS1 Z28 did. It's just a lot smoother. Plus, you're going from a mid 12 second, stalled car to a stock C5...it's going to feel like nothing is there a little.

My Z28 is putting down around 395rwhp and my C5 still seems a little faster. When I drive the vette and then switch over to the Z, the Z seems so much heavier.
