I've put up video's of my car many times with the standard m12/m6 that has run 10.5x's with stellar 60' times. This time with the racing trans it ran 10.54 with a 1.56 60' time in worse air and a newbie driver.( of a six speed on a drag strip).
I'm not sure if anyone got video of his 2 passes but I can show you some runs with my car. Plus there will be more to come. If you don't drag race alot, it's not for you.
If you do, it's funner than ****!

It's a Cartek Racing 4X heads and cam set up.
It's an amazing heads/cam/tuning package in a well driven C5 Z06 (typically a light car, CCW wheel/tire package makes it slightly lighter yet) in decent, though not necessarily great, air/track conditions...based on the fact that the car had already gone 10.55@130+ last year it actually adds up perfectly.
This car will likely go 10.4x@132mph before this season is over.
Congrats again Rob.

Some of these guys know my car. LS1LT1 has seen some of my 10.5x runs and probably my dyno sheet.
The race trans shifts faster allowing less time on the clutch. Once I figure it out I can just kick the pedal. It will take probably about 5-10 runs because I'm programmed to push the clutch in all the way to the floor.
I believe I will eventually be able to save .1 on the shifts and .1 on having less rotating mass and more acceleration BUT I also need to work on the 60' with the brand new clutch. If I was able to cut a low 1.4x (ie.1.42) this car should go 10.3x's IMO.(and it's far from a race car).
I think guys who don't have alot of seattime like I do may gain .4 with this trans alone and it will hold up to much more abuse, and your clutch will last longer because you don't have to engage it all the way.
This is all on stock suspension/shocks.
And to add to Marc's description, I also have an 80lb rollbar.
Sorry to bore those who have seen this already but heres a sloppy pass with my car before race trans.

just viewed it, nice video.
Forgot to ask, what kind of clutch are you using?
Thanks for telling us about the trans and your setup. I'm sure there will lots of guys interested in that setup. I may only track my car a few times this next year with the new cam in it. So I probably would not get this mod done. Glad to hear that the trans and rear end can hold up to that kind of abuse!

I have no problem believing the runs, I mean they are practically perfect runs in perfect weather on a well prepped track. The fact that Ranger's C6 Z trapped 129 or something on drag radials shows that it is possible because the two cars are very close to the same power/weight ratio, only ROBZ is picking up a lot more in the first 330'!

Way to go Rob !! Clutchless shifting manual trans. Sounds a lot like what is on most if not all of the World GT Challange cars. The way theres works is easy (LOL) lots of programming and as you put pressure on the gear shift the engine cuts off for a microsecond and as you engage the next gear it comes right back on. Not for the slow shifter, or so I have been told.
So out of curiosity did you have to upgrade your computer and tuning to run this trans, because it sounds to me like you got one of those 15k World GT units. Can't wait to see your times Rob, and good luck.

While it was 'good' air I certainly wouldn't call it perfect air at all, Rob has in fact raced in better air than that and likely will again.
