10.54@131.95 n/a 346
Where to begin?
For those who don't know my car
03 Zo6
Heads/Cam 346 NA
stock-- weight/bottom end/suspension/shocks
dyno 477rwhp 405rwtq
A good friend of mine, Tommy Michalkowski, who has been helping me out with my car for many years approached me about trying out an experimental transmission that he felt would make the car run faster and be much more durable.
Considering the struggles I've had with trannys, clutches, shifts, and never knowing what was the broken link, I thought it would be a great idea.
We took the car to Atco yesterday to test it out.
My plan was to take an inexperienced manual track driver(sorry Tommy ) and have him run the car to see its potential without the driver mod.
Surprisingly here are the results:
1st shakedown pass: 10.72@131.37(mph record) on a poor 1.66 60'
2nd pass: 1.569
4.44
6.80@104.60(mph record)
8.82
10.54@131.95(mph record)
Not bad for a driver with ZERO seat time ever in a manual vette.
The DA was zero for that pass.
The next phase was to have me drive the car but we broke something in the rear and we'll have to wait until next week to see what I can do.
Any questions about the trans or for more details contact ANGER MANAGEMENT RACING or pm tomdcarguy on the CF.
My best 60' time in this car is a 1.41 so let's see what happens.
Stay tuned......

I'm back. The trans is sick. It's really for people who track the car alot. It takes some learning to drive it on the street, but once you get it you can literally shift without the clutch. If your used to driving a big truck it will be a piece of cake.
The reason I had my buddy drive was to prove it was not the driver that made the car go fast but actually the trans. He has zero seat time in an manual on the drag strip.
The notch that you feel in neutral before going into the next gear while shifting is no longer there. The trans also helps the car spin up faster.
The tires we run are 26x16x11.5 et streets. Anything in the 1.5 range or above is poor for me.(I have alot of seat time). The trans is an m6.
My buddy ran with around 14psi(we were just testing) and barely did a burnout. The track was well prepped.

Is it some type of Liberty trans? (syncroless??)
Boy would I like to get rid of that. I think I trashed on 4rth gear syncro last time out due to that notch.

He will certainly be willing to make it an aftermarket item if there is enough interest which there seems to be. Again I would say it's best for guys who race alot.
