Ok when I bought my c5 the previous owner had a front license plate on it so now im looking to buy the front cover that says "corvette" on it but for some damn reason I cant find any website that sells it, and I dont wanna buy it a the dealership.

Any ideas where i can buy this at? the front license plate looks like **** imo.

you can try ebay or go to the corvetteforum.com and see if anybody has it for sale on there. Otherwise dealer it is. Try going to gmpartsdirect.com and see how much they cost.
Yea we in illinois are supposed to have front plates, but I will never put one on. Kinda weird though that the state only sent me one plate though.

 

I got mine on Ebay and the paint was a near perfect match I lucked out.

I lucked out and found one on ebay today. It's new and already painted to match my body color. Just keep checking ebay.

 

have you tried Mid America, Corvette Central, Ecklers, or Zip? I know some sell the ones for the C4, but i am not sure of the C5.

 

thanks guys but i just put the order in for a "new" front cover from www.corvettesalvage.com they really have alot of new and used parts there if anyone else is in need for hard to find stuff.

I actually did try Zip and didnt find anything for my car.

Corvette Central $104 unpainted
Mid America $99.99 unpainted

 

yea i paid $113 unpainted including delivery.

 

You could have got it from a vendor on the vette forum for $79 I believe it was unpainted. I think that is what he quoted me a while back.
