10.76 stock on drag radials
#3
well raced at island dragway in nj . 42 sunny 5grand on the launch shifted at 7 grand. 1.50 60ft dead hook. 10.76 at 126 mph. as for the slip this is where my problems begin. ranger said send it to me and ill post it. he threw the bs flag and i got booted off the site. so if you want to read the slip go to corvetteforum .com and find the thread under the zo6 section

Stock
Did you buy this car new and know for sure there are no mods ? It seems 7 grand shifts would have killed your ET as the power band goes flat from around 6 grand and a typical mph is around 118 for 350 rwhp vettes. About 100 more hp over stock would put you around 125-130 mph and around 10.7 - 11 flat if you can shift and launch. Just asking...seems like you might have mods you don't know about..don't doubt the times.

C6 Z
Well, that is possible if you can drive as good as the time slip. Post it back up on this site...would love to look at your 330' and 1000' mph & times. I like to take a pic of my car at the track, with the matching number showing on the slip after I print the pic and rescan, with the slip showing in one corner...see attached. Did you get any pic's or vid's ?

Welcome aboard!!!
Do yourself a favor and spend your time here.
I have about 1000 more posts on corvetteforum, but that's because I've been there longer and a lot of them are answering dumb questions.
This site is great. A lot less of the high and mighty type.
I personally don't know whether to believe your story or not, so I'll just take your word for it. Just because the mighty Ranger can't do it doesn't mean it can't be done. It's quite a gay country club over there, especially c6 and c6z06 forum. The owners are the main reason I dumped over 11k in mods into my c5 instead of trading up to a c6. Most of the douche bag Corvette queers always upgrade to new models, so now C5 is a lot better over there. The threads in c6 make me laugh, arguments over badges and of course all the zaino threads moved up to c6, no coincidence.
This site is a lot more hardcore and level headed at the same time. I love them both, but this place is so much more drama free.
If you did run those times bone stock, kudos.

Went and read most of those posts, seems like 50/50 over there. The biggest thing is the 60' time. Can it be done, I think so. There is tons of other deciding factors also, track prep, air density, car ran when cold or not. As far as I am concerned the 330' that everyone is talking about doesn't mean crap. The 330', 1000' all has do to do with the 60' time. So it still comes back down to the 60' time. My buddy with nittos on a c5Z06, slipping the clutch a little on a 4200 launch got a 1.69 60' time. Now a car with 100 more rwhp launching at 5000 rpm dump I believe could get that 60' time. Will it ever happen again, more than likely not. It is just one of those runs. Everything else with that run looks like a stock c6Z06 compared to the other slips I have seen.
Anyways congrates on the run. Any pictures of the car??? I think somebody had said you had a red one, haven't seen a red one yet.

I heard about it but never read it. But I will say that Ranger is no bitch, I think what the problem is that a stock clutch can not handle that type of 60'. A 1.50 on a stock clutch is getting it, a 1.50 on any clutch is getting it. And I don't think it is him saying that it just can't be done because he has not done it. I think it is something to due with the clutch pressure.

I went thru the whole thing. Everyone can draw their own conclusions. Apparently some people have a bone to pick with Ranger. He cannot get anyone kick off the forum.
The stock clutch doesn't handle a 1.50.

OK i can't find the slip details or anything say BS on someones times????? Can you post the details of the run on here? 60ft,330ft,1/8th/1000ft/1/4etc etc. So we are saying the 1.50 60ft is impossible. I would have to say thats one hell of a 60ft for a stock LS7 clutch but crazy **** happens. Repeating it will be the most interesting part yet.

according to the post on CF this was all a joke by one or more person. If that is the truth I think its pretty pathetic. I would like to believe the pass is legit, but I'm a skeptic, so I would need more proof then just a pic of a slip and someone word from the inter-webz.
Can you verify the car is 100% bone stock?
Did anyone witness your passes that day?
Do you have any other passes 'close' to that time?
Are you willing to try and repeat the pass?
You have to expect to be able to provide SOME type of backup if you are going to make a pretty substantial claim to something like that.
I know an offer was made for you to attened on of the 'top secret' track rentals, why not take them up on it and prove everyone wrong. Even if you don't beat your best pass it will be fairly obvious to everyone there by your times if you are full of it or you are really that good.
