I bet your insurance would be about $220 - $250 / month. I have a 05 Jaguar, 2000 Mustang, 1999 Corvette, and pay $165 / month total for total coverage on the cars.

I have not had a ticket in 16 years and have my house and $1,000,000 worth of life insurance through the same guy. Additionally my credit is about 780 - 790. All of this stuff really makes a difference.

I had a 93 Trans Am when I was 18 and my insurance (full coverage) was $250 / month. That was 14 years ago!

Good Luck - but don''t let the desire to have a Corvette put you in a horrible financial situation. The cost of ownership is very high. If your credit goes in the 5hitter you are screwed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your insurance will be high, but it maybe lower than a f-body. I found when i went from a ws6 to a Z06 my insurance went down. Although I was 28 when I did it though. One way to find out is call the insurance company and ask. Most won't cover a 16 year old with a vette, if they do it will cost you $$$$. You may have to have the vette under your dads name, title and insurance wise. He can have you put on all the cars and then you can just pay him the differance.

I heard a that there was a possibility of insurance going down when moving from a F-body to Vette. Supposedly because they figure in the average age of owners or something like that. I have no clue what they take into consideration.

All I do know is that my insurance when up $10 a month going from a WS6 to Z06. That is everything under my name with AAA. And I'm 21.

Has to do with the cars not typically being a DD.

500$ Ded.
Under / Uninsured morotist coverage
250k property damage

I was suprised... I have an at fault accident about 3 yrs ago and over the last 10 yrs I have 4-5 tickets so I am very happy... Cant wait to turn 25 (-:

- - YOu need to have your Dad at the primary driver and you on something a little less risky... When I had my second Trans Am I was on my moms coverage. She was the primary on the Trans Am , I was the primary on a 94 Honda Civic ... Worked out real well... Never an issue.

Im 21 and the insurance on my 99 is a little over $460 every 6 months for full coverage. Comp and liability would have been around $300 every 6 months so its not as bad as people think. Good luck to ya.

I agree with what a lot of others have said. Insurance will be lower than in a f-body!
