Well I guess that answers the question on whether to go a6 or m6......

Sorry to hear about your trans failing. Hopefully you get a new one under warranty. Good luck with everything.

The C6 A6 is a 6L60E based on the 4L60E. Same POS, just more gears......

You can build up the 4L80E to handle 1000 or 1200 rwhp all day long. Unforunately for the C5 and C6, the front and/or rear section of the center tunnel will not allow a standard size 4L80E to be placed. A couple of shops have a 4L80E package, but it runs about $10K If the backend of a C6 was big enough to fit a standard 4L80E or 6L80E( wink, wink ), I would pick one up in a heartbeat.

They should to replace the tranny under warranty with 5k miles right? I would expect it to be replaced under warranty. Hope all goes will for you bro. Or did your H/C swap make them say it was your fault?

Ahh, That could pose a problem. Maybe the service manager would let you pull that computer out and put a stock one in it? Probably not, but it's worth a try. Did the A4 4l60e's have an internal comp? I don't believe they did. Do you know why they added and internal comp, any benefits?

I forgot, one more question. What do you plan on doing this time around? Are you going to tune the new one as aggressively? You said there are no built versions of the A6 out yet, so is there anything you can do to prevent the new one from dumping? I looked at your sig, did see a stall, were you on the factory converter. Sorry bout all the questions, I just like you car/setup a lot and always read all your posts. And Im considering moving on to a C6 and possibly a A6 and this worries me.

Now that is some funny **** bro.

My opinion as to why gm put a computer in the trans is to deny warranty claims. I hope you get under the radar bro, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

This is scary, but so far I'm at over 9000 miles with no problems. But I don't run it at the dragstrip. I'll know within a few months how well it holds up on the roadcourse. My car is still stock.
