DR Questions
I do not go to the track more than once or twice a year.
From what I have read Nittos are great for the street and ok at the track which is great for me.
Nittos are the best in the wet conditions if you are caught in the rain.
Nittos last longer than the other DRs on the market.
My questions are is what I have found through searching correct? The Nittos do last longer than the BFGs and M/Ts? That is my biggest concern is the mileage I will get out of them. Since I do not go to the track but once or twice I wont be doing burn outs on them, so that will not effect my tread wear. I just want a nice sticky tire for the summer I can use on the street and not worry about spinning. I have the factory run flats right now and I am tired of spinning every where I go, I could get beat by a mustang GT right now because of it.
Also, will the DRs be fine for a factory rear? Or will it cause too much stress for the rear hooking up? From what I have read it will be fine as long as I dont have wheel hop. Which I should not have if the car hooks well.
Throw me your opinions of the different DRs out there. Keep in mind, my biggest concern is the life of the tire. It will only be used on the street in the summer. If you know of one that last longer than the Nitto DR let me know.
On the point of lasting some miles, the Nittos are holding up pretty good for me. Not sure the exact mileage but its got to be 4k or more and they still look pretty close to new. Good upgrade for the street, not too sure about the track.
You need to go to the track with us sometime. I think you will enjoy racing the Z.
