99' M6 here. CAI, LT headers, catback, tune.
12.8 is my best time on half worn out TOYO's.
Just got GSD3's last week. Hoping for a better 60' time But we will see.

I went 12.70 stock, back to back in OUR south florida heat,...
Typically, your gonna need another 75-100 wheel horsepower more to compete at highway speeds against a vette. As I used to race several V's back in the day when my car was closer to stock form....and the only one that contended, was one making 460rwhp vs my 355 rwhp vette. Speeds from 80 up,..would be close but, the vette would always walk.
That same car, that same V, my first and only pass in the quarter mile(offical) that car went 12.9(low rpm rollout). It's never gone faster.
Trap speed was 111mph if my memory serves me. I do have the time slip.
I then added headers,..and other little stuff, and it was much easier to beat the modded V's.

Why is that funny? The highest trim level in an 09' model Pontiac should be able to keep up with a 97' to 04' Vette. It's has at least 5 years of technology pulling for it. Make no mistake though, a C5 has far more potential, even with the smallest of mods. The range of et's for a C5 are nearly 1 full second apart, which tells you that the car is far more capable than what the driver can really do.
