No, a LS1 fbody converter will NOT work with a LS1 vette. Both LS1 fbodies and LS1 vettes do have a 4L60E transmission, but the shaft lengths and splines are different. One can use the LT1 fbody converters though as they have the same number of splines and shaft lengths.

Could be worse. The fbody converters are much cheaper than the vette ones: $350ish verses $750ish. I have seen and heard about lots of fbody guys buy the vette converter( because vette part are better than the fbody parts ) only to find out they wasted $750.

I am not 100% sure, but I think the LT1 and LS1/Vette converters have different overall outer diameters even though they have the same splines and shaft lengths. I think the LT1 one is slightly bigger so I am not sure the C5 bellhousing will work or not.

That's where I got my info from, on that part of the board.

A LT1 Fbody converter will work in LS1 CORVETTE 4L60E. A LS1 FBODY converter will NOT work in a LS1 CORVETTE.
