Default Modding an A4

I never wanted to truely mod my car bc i was scared to kill the stock A4, but now that i HAD to get a built 4L60E, that fear is gone

Right now i have an intake, no cats, Borla Stingers, and the built A4.
I want to do LTs, 3000-3200 stall TC, and 3.42s in the near future.
I figured i would do the TC and the 3.42s at the same time to save from pulling the trans more than necessary.
My question is, are the C5Z rear difs stronger than the base C5's?
I wanted to go with a C5Z rear bc i dont feel that i will need a built rear, but i could be wrong.

Get a set of harden output shafts for the diff and you will be good to go. Unless you start to push 1000 rwhp, then you might want to think about one of the solid billet diff cases

If you ever decide to go with a good sized cam you will want more gear than the 3.42, maybe a 3.73 or 3.90 would work for you if you're not worried too much about fuel mileage!

when i do a cam it will be in the 224-228 range, but i do a lot of hwy driving, 3-400 miles every other weekend along with half my work drive is hwy
but i was thinking 3.42 just bc there are low milage Z06 rears for good prices every once in a while

come pick it up, $500 saves me from the hassle of sending it back for a core refund.

77-78k guarantee it to work perfect and has no whine. Just put in a stage 3 3.90 rear so its either sell it local or send it back for the core refund.

Im running a 268/272 cam and I had DTE build me a nice rear-end and I stayed with the 3:42 so I can still race top end, but I do have a HUGE nitrous kit to get me out of the hole..
