2008 LS3 C6 Quarter Times
What have you seen/heard bone-stock LS3 Vettes run? I saw someone run a 12.2xx last night which seemed pretty quick for a non-ZO6 on run-flats. He also said he best run was a 12.1xx. Just curious.

The fastests I have run with my stock ls2 is 12.83 on the run flats. I think I need a driver mod though

That would be Andrew. His car has gone as fast as 11.70's @ 120mph bone stock with 1.7x 60 ft. on the stock runflats. I have seen him run at least twice, every time out he goes at least 12.0's or faster.

I wouldnt think a stock car could muster a 1.7 60'. I have an 08 Z-51 car with a tune and torque managment slowed down and the car just doent hit it hard enough to cut a 1.7 60' Dont get me wrong I think my car will run low 12's just kinda slow off the tree.

The autos have too much torque management at launch and a very tight factory converter to launch hard. So far I have heard of no programming to eliminate launch TM. TM at shift can be eliminated.

I had mine tuned to help with the torque management at LG Motorsports. It seems to shift fast but like you said the launch sucks. It rolls out about 20' and then scoots! Thats why I seriously doubt any 60' faster then a 1.9x. I maybe wrong but it feels slow for a slpit second taking off and I have dyno tuning and a ram air kit.

I got the times in my sig out of mine. DA was crappy and crappier respectively, but its the price I pay for going to a track where I could run 20 to 30 times per night if I wanted to. Its only $15 too

I just bought an LS3 tonight. I hope that my stock times are as good as some of you guys above. I will take it to the track soon but my butt-o-meter feels 12.2's @ 116. I almost got the A6 but because of what I heard about the TM scared me to the M6, plus my Z was an M6 and it ran like a raped ape. My stock vette feels much stronger than my modded Z. What is the best cold air/ram air intake system for these LS3's? Thanks 4 the input.

The Vararam seems to be the best intake. It's design is like the FTRA / SSRA in that it is a scoop system. I've bought one, just need to put it on. Installation is a bit of PITA compared with others.

I had the Vararam Installed and dyno tuned and it made 0 rwhp after the intake install. I would recomend the Haltech Killer Bee as it makes HP.
I had mine Dyno tuned and had the torque managment reduced and I would love to line up beside a M-6 LS3 and compare. This is the fastest automatic I have riden in. It dynoed 385 rwhp and 378 rwtq bone stock and with the vararam added. Then we tuned it and it runs very nice!
