Buried the speedo. Not sure, but the cop that stopped me 10 mins later said I was doing 203. Tires on the back were Michelin PS2 295 35r18s. Felt very stable considering she's lowered. Before loweing on stock bolts she started to feel a little iffy at 185 and up.
Would've loved to have gotten pics of the faces of the riders on the gsxr 1100's that I blew past. I think they top out at 186. I am sure they were in disbelief. This was done at 130 am and nothing but me, my buddy, and those two bikes on the road, oh yeah and the cop that decided to chase me outside his jurisdiction. NO ticket though.

You are now my hero!!!

I had a C6 Z06 over 100 in 3rd gear on a test drive. This was while the salesman was telling me that he was too scared to drive the car over 55 lol! I had my '91 Z28 to 160 on a "closed" road. The Camaro felt like it was glued to the road, but nothing like driving a Z06.

Had both my Vette's into the 150's. My Trans Am didn't feel stable at all above 140. The Vette's were smooth and still had a lot left in them.
I am starting to get mod fever. I love the look of Lou's (LG Motorsports) C6 with the wide body rear, LG hood and LG splitter. That would look fantastic in black. Add a procharger, some longtubes a few other chassis and suspension modifications, and this C6 Z51 is over 200MPH.

How fast inj my cars?
2000 Vette Convertable 168 with the top down.
2001 TT ZO6 180's with alot more left. The car is being made into a Open road racecar(so have not had a chance to see the top end) that will still be street legal and go over 200.
1996 Corvette Full on Open Road race car (see sig). Open road races are 90-130 miles of closed 2 lane highway. I average 170+ for full distance with speeds over 200 common. Fast speed for me yet 206.8 speed trap cetified.
Fastest obtained in a open road race 232mph, fastest average for 90 miles 207.13mph
These races are not just straight lines you have to make turns marked 50mph at 150 and above. It is just like a drive in the country.

That kicks *** Jeff. When you run that fast for extended amounts of time, have you ever had any issues with coolant temp, trans temp, or anything else ?? I am sure your car is built for it and those issues had already been addressed, but just thought I'd ask. BTW what was your oil/coolant temps driving that kind of speed ?

Fastest in the Vette so far was with a 911 Turbo, went to 120 walking him and let out, then he tried the ricer flyby and got in it again going to 140 walking him some more
Fastest I've been though was in my 05 GTO, 160mph, racing a WS6 and Mallett Vette, that was a blast

Setting the Record straight
As much as I wish I could I can not claim the 207mph average for 90 miles or the 232 top speed. The 207mph average was Chuch Shafer in a Chrysler LaBarron.....well a Busch Grand National car witha LaBarron body.
http://www.sscc.us/results-record.htm
(I could not get image to post, all it would show was a the evil red X)
To do this Chuch was running 215-225mph most of the time. There is a place on course called the narrows with 7 turns in 3 miles that you have to slow down to the 140-150 range for. But most corners he was running at or above 200mph
The 232mph top speed was Rick Doria in a Corvette:
My best is only a 172.3mph average with only a 206.8mph top speed. But my navigator (Boyce Goff) and I are in the MKM Open Road Racing 200mph Club. This means we ran above 200mph (201.4 and 203.6) through the speed trap both directions on a two way race. Here is a copy of the trophy that is at all races with the names of the members of the 200mph club.

If you look at the other members you can see we are a long way from being the fastest. But I am still proud of getting there.
Some of you speed demons should check out Open Road Racing. This is a legal although not cheap way to run at high speeds.

It is alot more fun then doing the 1 mile shootouts.
