Default Car turns over, but wont start! Help.

Car is my 99 Covette. This is what happened. I took the car out for a drive last night. Ran WOT 1st,2nd and 3rd hit the rev limiter in 3rd and the car shut down when i pulled to the side of the road and tried to start, the motor turns over but wont start. I have checked everthing. The car is getting fuel, has good fuel pressure, Getting spark, starter is working, all fuses are good. The car threw two codes, but they would not keep the car from starting(P-0108, P-0342)

Starting to think that the car jumped timming......But want to check everything before i pull the front of the motor apart. Any help would be great! Thanks.

Have you checked to see what the codes mean?

The P-0108 is the MAP sensor High voltage
P-0342 is CMP sensor circuit Low voltage.

really? Holy ****, I didnt even think that could happen. How do you know? I'm just curious due to how hard i run my car and has 98k miles on it. Good luck with the repair and hope the valves are ok.

I will know more next week... i know it is timming chain related. I pulled the valve covers, and turned over the motor and the valves didnt move at all. So either the chain broke, the cam broke, cams bolts shear'd off or backed out.....so we will see. this motor has around 5,000 miles on it since build.

I have not gotten the timing cover off yet. but here are some pics from in the valley. I noticed that one of the cam lobes is scar'd. If you look at the 7-8 cam lobes you will see it...

Once you have the timing cover off, it is very easy to pull the camshaft out. I would definitely inspect the camshaft and lifters before putting the timing cover back on!

Im so glad to hear that .....Im going to go ahead and put new heads and a new cam in since im taking the heads off to inspect... Plus i bought the car with the motor already in it.... I just want to know what i have, right now i have no real answers. I talked to the shop that built the block, but they dont know anything about the heads. So the car should make some more power with the setup im going with...
