I have added timing in the HO table, but I haven't messed with the IAT table. I have a vararam to get cold air in and not suck engine air. The Airaid should do ok when the car is 20 mph or above.

Yep, probably best! Don't have a commitment from Brooke anyway.
I won't go to Houston Raceway any more as I've mentioned but I'm open for Lonestar Raceway. Unfortunately this time of year I can't get my IAT's low enough for the car to make power at the track. Too much lane time.

John, at an intake air temp of 86*, the car pulls 3* of timing at about 1/2 throttle or above. At 95* it can pull 5*.

Larry I love this C6 performance forum.. The CL has already won 75% of the race or race time in Houston area (Hot all year) and we have not even RUN yet..haha
One of the most respected veterans and the one to race the CL admits it twice already (see above).. No power in the HEAT and that EQUALS no win against the KOMPRESSOR! What do you think,, the Germans found a secret way around knock retard and this PHAT Luxury car will still fly 100% in the heat?? Maybe, as this motor does not have an MAF meter. Besides it would need two as it has one intake per piston bank (2 filters, 2 snorkels).
With AC cooled seats, AC makeup boxes and other AC recircualtion features while you go in the store, I assure you this motor will pull timing too. Let`s just RUN!! If it makes you feel better, I will run you from a stop, from a roll, at the track and at perfect ambient temperature but we get one normal Houston weather run too. As you said above, you feel you can only make power in 25% of HOUSTON weather. That is 75% looooosing!
See my new custom license plate for the 75% CL55 win time!!

But ambient has been above 86* here anytime after about 10 am until after dark. Impossible to make good power without tuning.

A little less talk and a lot more action!
(I love heated babble as much as the next guy, but let's hear some results guys)
BTW, that Motortrend time chart is so close, it can easily be attributed to atmospheric conditions, driver, prep, etc. I've seen the SVT dip well into the 12's.
I'm waiting for the real world run here.
edit: while I was writing this.. looks like it's on. Good luck guys
