ok, bob sent me to tj @ RPM, and between them and thunder I got most of what I needed, still lookin for a used Z06 cam.....

and the short story would be a broken rod(#5), but it happened because of an electrical issue dumping fuel into the cylinder and hydro locking.... I really wish it would have blown in a spectacular fasion making lots of hp, not idleing in my garage............. and I'm even more upset because the stock bottom end is in amazing shape other than that, it didnt even seap fuel past the rings the compression was so good, had over 150psi on the compression check for all cylinders before that happened

Damm bro that sucks. You've lasted a long time though running your setup man,...done pretty good if you ask me. I remember talking/writing to you about that over a year or two ago,....

Wish you the best.

I do have a blower/turbo cam that may be of interest,...220's on a 117. I'll have to look at the spec's but, it has 1,400 miles on it, and it came out of a good working/running motor, I had it cleaned by my buddy at a race engine fabricators shop. I'll find out more specs on it,... should be midly better then the Z06 camshaft for what you want.

ooops...here they are.

Duration @ .050 220 intake 228 exhaust

Lift is .530 intake and .555 exhaust

Lobe sep 117

Lemme know,...if you want, make me an offer, i'll take pics too.

Why the different clutch pack in the rear end? Did you smoke it from overheating? If so, sling a rear end cooler, pinion or electric drive pump and you can sit the cooler off in the bumper to either the right or left of the stock exhaust outlet location.

There's only one company offhand that I can recommend for uprated clutch packs. DTE.

the torqe of the motor plus slicks on road courses do a beating to my rear end, I got straight mufflers going out the back so 2 huge places to put a cooler where the stock mufflers were, but I need to see how much this is going to cost me to get it running first... the rear end cooler, trans cooler, and massive radiator were my next mods but now the funds have all been depleted...

It was custom made for an LS6 headed car, for boost. i installed it in one of our cars, not too long later, more power was desired, and a whole long block went in place.

It's a very nice cam. very little lope, again, designed nicly for boost.

I dunno,.....200 bucks?....i'll ship it

Hmmm...

as to the rear, seriously, call DTE up, they know their stuff and have many solutions
I don't know if they sell the uprated plate differential by itself. I don't know if they sell their uprated diff by itself.

I think a fresh, stock LSD might work with a cooler sufficiently well. Wire a switch to the cockpit and have an electronic pump turned on at all times. Some people sling coolers where the rear brake ducts would be on a C5Z; and there's plenty of room elsewhere. I've seen trans coolers in one of the sides of the rear bumper down low, and the diff cooler on the other side of the bumper.

The only non-plate diff I know is ~1700 itself, and there was some machine work that had to be done to have it installed, but this is some time ago.

Cooler, lines, and pump? Less than a thousand?
