Most of the folks I see choosing a C5Z are just factoring in price of purchase. Bang for the buck is definitely swaying this decision. Drive both and the C5 will feel outdated and cheesy compared to a C6, especially the interior and dashboard, and those awful frog eyes.

i purchased a C5 Z06 over a Stock C6 for several reasons:
i like to go to the track
i like to drive the twisties
The z06 has a nicer platform for the racing individual and the C6 for the cruiser!
C5 is quicker by a bit and has more of a race feel to it! Nothing cheesy about the C5 at all in fact i like my C5 cabin better than the c6 feel more secure!
Now if you go C6 z06 a whole different car and then i would go C6 but i wasn't willing to spend 70k when i could pickup a base c6 or C5 z06 for 1/3 to 1/2 the price and with about 12k kick the C6 Z06's ***!

So a C6 Z51 is not a car to take on the track or twisties? LOL!
Take the runcraps off the C6 and compare..... I'm willing to bet an LS3 Z51 will post identical times to a C5 Z06 if not better around VIR.

Having owned both,for me,I will keep my 02 Z06 ! I did,like the C6 for daily driver but it felt more like a street car,less brutal or agressive than my Z. My wife said the same,drove an 05 C6 for a week,got rid of it for another C5Z ! Just my 2 cents !

C5. But, I like the back of the C5 much better then the C6. It looks chopped off and seems too high for some reason.
Side profile goes to the C5Z also, much more unique. I have never like 'fastback' styling. Even when I drove Mustangs I always preferred the notchback's.
Interior, well, I really could care less. The seats suck regardless, every car with these capabilities should have a set of Caravaggio's.

They really are two very different corvettes. Both have many benefits. I would pick the C5Z though no hesitation. It is personal preference when it comes to styling and I have always been a fan of the C5s.

I would get a C5Z before a C6 anyday.
I will take the best C5 over the worst C6. I would hate to have people say "why didn't you get a Z06?". I know you can make the base C6 just as fast, but it's not the same.

I have never had anyone ask me why I didn't get a C6 Z06.
If you are looking at which one looks better...then the C6 Z wins hands down.
