Most of the comments appreciated, but I'm not going to get into the "who's faster" or "apples to oranges" argument again. The fact of it is, in our neck of the woods (Dallas), I have not found another car running my numbers on a similar set-up. Yes, a high-compression car is built for an NA set-up and low-compression car is built for power adders. I only like to even the playing field by suggesting someone run me on their motor, but I also understand that changing something on the car when it's not built for it is like purposely blowing it up!
Heck, if I had a larger motor and it didn't at least run 5's, I'd sell it! It's just too much money to invest to not get good numbers out of it. I race to have a lot of fun and we are very happy about how we've built the car better over the years...But there's always someone who has to point out they're faster than me. I'm not mad, offended, or upset by any means but I really don't care who's faster than me. Just congratulate me for a job well done, and leave it at that!

And if I can point out, you are the one who said you would have had me if you had not spun. I just corrected you. I did not come into your post saying that I beat you. (Which I did not since I red lit anyway) Like I said, your car is fast. But we are in 2 different classes. Racing you for anyting other than fun would be silly. I am expected to win, and if I don't, I have huge issues. I am man enough to admit that. Lets keep this cool OK?

I've been waiting for this for a long time - Now if we can stay together this year it will make me very happy! Yahooo!!! (Results are in 50-60* weather, sunny, winds at 10-16mph)
Run #1: 6.63 at 100.13, launched at 2500, left tire pressure a little high due to not being sure about traction issues on track
Run #2: 6.63 ar 100.82, launched at 3000, lowered tire pressure, BINGO, hooked well, pulled plugs to check and found 3/8 incorrectly gapped. Fixed.
Run #3: 6.58 at 101.56, launched at 3100, felt a definite "lift" on the driver front end!
Run #4: 6.57 at 101.78, launched at 3000, front end came up 2 feet and slammed me back down but it was great!
(Wish I had a vid!) Ran a yellow TA with "N20 FED" plate. He stayed with me but I won.
Run #5: Oil on track, slid over mid-line before 60", would have enjoyed running that black TA though.![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
The car needs some serious suspension work. It is pulling hard to the right during launch but I keep it straight very well. It also apprears that the chassis is twisting badly. Now I get to spend some $$ on more parts, yepee!
Overall, I am very impressed and happy with the performance of the car this year. I owe a BIG thanks to LME: Late Model Engines in Houston, TX and Sean over at Corvettes of Dallas! Glad we are back in the game again!![Devil](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_devil.gif)

Fasttagurl, congrats on your accomplishments with your little NA 346. It surprises alot of people on how well they do run.
There have been a few that have run in the 9.9x range in years past, but those cars were very light in the weight department (2700-2800lb range).
I built a naturally aspirated 347ci, 5.3 heads, 11.1 compression, Hyd cam, Fast 90/90, on 93 pump gas back in 2005. The car weighed 3045lbs with me in it and it went a best of 10.10@131 . The 60' times footbraking were in the low 1.3xs most of the time with the best ever being a 1.31.
Here is the time slip from the 10.10 run to compare with your runs. I feel your car has much more potential left in the combo you just have to figure everything out and make it all work together.
60'.....1.330
330....4.087
1/8....6.389
mph...106.25
1000..8.395
1/4....10.106
mph...131.02
Good luck in the future and I hope to hear about some low 10 sec runs from you.

There was no metal that was cut out of my car. The lights, turn signals, power windows, security system all still worked. No wireing was removed. All plastic interior stuff was still in the car along with lightweight carpet. Stock glass was also still in the car along with the stock firehawk hood.
I could have made the car much lighter but at the time the LS1Tech races required a 3200lbs min weight for the SS class. I was having to add 150lbs or so to the car to make weight.

I think it starts next weekend, but I'm not doing points this year. I may hit a couple of Saturday races if the car's running strong, but otherwise I will be doing out-of-town races more. Ya, a few more dollars saved and I can improve my suspension!
