The M/T's would allow for a far better 60' than any stock rubber and thats why you have the better ET...

I think on a stock car, tires make more of a difference than most small bolt-ons like lids/filters/catbacks.

trying to finish detailing it, but with work and holidays Im only getting about 1 to 2 hours done a night. Hope to have her make some passes next week. I need new tires since the 28's I have now are almost 2 years old but they should be good enough for some shakedown runs. Im not expecting to launch at 7000rpm and pull a 1.40 60' on a street night at Englishtown anyway lol.

I just went 13.46 at 104 with 99 trans am auto with 2.73 gears on my street tires. No tire slip at all with full mash off line... slow 2.031 60 foot. 3.42 gear would wake this up.

Only mod is MTI air lid/filter. Full weight/spare, leather, power seats/windows/locks, and 1/2 tank of gas. Good cold air tonite too

In Oct 2001 I drove my 01 ss to a 12.96 at 110 bone stock 150 miles on it.

I have a 1998 ss bone stock that just went 13.19 at 107 about a month ago.
Both 6spd cars.

The 98's just won't run with an 01-02.

13.doh's and 13.teens have been done many times, I'm sure I've posted seeing a friend run a bone stock 1999 SS down to a 13.09 or something like that back in the spring of 1999.

12.89 @108 with a stock 01 a4 z28 in 2005. ok it had a LM2 exhaust. big deal..no lid, no wires, no plug upgrades, no k&n..I call that stock.ran high 8.20s and 87mph at the 1/8th.
dont know why, it just did, and none of my other 8 4th gens have done it either. it actually ran slower with drag radials
