you guys are making me feel better. ive had my procharger for about 6months and ive been having money issues lately. im slowly piecing mine together. i doubt ill sell it. i knew it was gonna be expensive with everything adding up but when you actually jump the gun and buy a kit it becomes reality . this thread motivates me to hang in there and hopefully she'll be running with 9psi by mid 2010

what rear ends, tires, gears you guys running? im gonna go with a 15x10 28" radial and 3.89's. is anyone running a 9" moser rear? cuz im thinking of going with a midwest.

btw dchmitte, one of my favorite cars on here. why didn't you go with a 402 by the way?

I am running a Midwest fab 9 with 3.70 gears and a 28in tall tire. But I am making a little more power than you will be.

Not that it seems that way but I have been trying to go as fast as I can with out spending a ton of Money. I picked up a used procharger, I built the motor myself, I am still running stock heads and aside from the MWC rear I have built/ fabricated most of everything in the car. I am happy the the went 10.33@136mph with stock heads with a clutch on its way out(which I removed yestarday to find worn down the the rivets).

As much as I would love to have built a 402 and made some stupid power I have enjoyed seeing how far I can push this motor.

I am running a Moser 12 bolt with 3:73 gears. Using ET Drags (28x10.5x15)..

Dschmittie: What are you shifting your car at? Trying to figure out what I will trap once I get my sloppy shifting better.

I shift the car at about 6700rpm give or take. With a 26x10.5 ET street and 626 rwhp I was going thought the traps at about 6700 rpm. I upped the power and switched to a 28x10.5 ET street now going through the traps at about 6500 rpm. All of this was with a 3.70 gear

9.99 was my goal for my car this year. But just couldn't do it. Broke my t-56 early fall and started having clutch issues after than. My car went 10.33@136mph with a 1.61 60' (I couldn't launch the car hard with because of failing clutch) Had a best mph of 137mph. Car normally 60's in the 1.51-1.49 range. Car probably would have gone 10.1 or 10.0 if I could have gotten the 60' back down. I spent a ton of money and time working on the suspension this year trying to get this far.

I went from going 10.5@ 136 last year with a 10 bolt and no suspension work. to adding a 9 in and more power and all the suspension stuff and only going .2 faster. Once you get down this far it gets alot harder.

Im just hoping lol. I was pulling consistent 1.55 60s and then I had some help with VHT in front of my tires and pulled a 1.45. My car put down 754rhwp and 707tq. I trapped 133 short shifting 3rd and 4th (didnt even see my shift light lol). I know SSmokin ran a 9.8 with his 6 speed and he put down around the same power. Im just hoping its enough! Between my horrible shifting and not revving all the way I know there is alot more mph left in it.

It was 3650 with me in it last time out. I am running a Spec 4+ with a solid hub on a iron disk. The only weight reduction I have done is tubular k-member, a/c compressor is gone (stopped working), and the front bumper support (FMIC went there). I need to look at dropping some more weight somewhere. Just dont know where.

thanks for the input guys, you've all been a great help. i've decided that im going to set the goal of making a car on 550rwp, how would a 550rwhp d1sc do against a nitrous car.

im just hoping for a a car that will be fast, as well as fun to drive.
