Im looking to post some times like these but for me its all a matter of hooking. Im just waiting on some drag radials now. I was thinking about going with the new nitto nt05r's even though i hated the 555r's and always stuck with mickeys. I have heard a lot of good things about the nto5r's and figured id try them. The cars mods are - approx 300lbs, 430 gears, 4k stall, debaffled/ sealed stock ram air hood, all bolt ons except elec water pump and some hopefully sticky tires

i noticed 2 things on these pictures...you still have ur cruisecontrol and you still have your traction control, a straight shot throttle cabel to delete these from a dealer is 30 bucks (got one for my car) you also still have a big battary, u could go with the lightweight battary and between the two save over 40lbs off the nose...just my .02 if u care

Yea...I'm thinking that's the most cost effective way to lose some more weight, compared to getting a lightweight hood or k member.

Congrats on the new time! So I guess that Ram Air does work. I have the FTRA and was thinking of upgrading to the one you have. I am still debating wether to get rid of the AC or not since in South Texas we reach well over 100 degrees in the summer.

Thanks. There's good gains to be had with both versions IMO...I've actually had both versions on my car haha. Here is a picture comparison of the 2...

https://ls1tech.com/forums/12872091-post119.html

Also, last year when I still had the AC version, I ran .178 seconds faster and 1.534 mph faster by just switching over to the chrs1313 ram air. (I just had the "free ram air" before.) Everything thing else was the same, and that is with the DA corrected.

There was like really no point in me keeping my AC...never really used it anyways, but I can see that being different for someone who lives in TX.

Not sure on the race weight, but see post 19 for the weight reduction stuff I've done. DA for the 116 mph run was about -290, so it was a bit higher for the 11.7 run.

How much of a gain did the 3.42s make ? I am about to swap my 2.73s for a set of 3.42s also .... My car is still full weight and on street tires I want to see what I can get out of it on the street tires ....

I'm not sure...I swapped my old stall in at about the same time that I did the gear swap, so I didn't get any track results for the gear swap alone. The stall made the biggest difference out of everything that I've done so far hands down.

I'm so pumped for the possibilities at the top of the converter!
