Default Stuck in the 14's are you serious

So first off I know I have a terrible y pipe merge tat will be fixed with a new 3 inch y pipe and then I am going to go again. My 60' times were between 2.500 and 2.602 which is terrible and I know that is what is really killing me. I am wondering if my MAF is a problem tho.

I read on another post someone changed out the MAF they had with a new one and a new tune and gain over a second. I am very disappointed in how I ran after reading everyone running 13's no problem and 12's wth pretty much what I have. Is it mostly driver or is it part car?

Im not launching crazy in the 1.5 to 2 range. I am shifting at 5500 or a hair below. Should I be shifting at a high rpm?

Try some different tires. Borrow some if you need to, and take it out again. That may give you a better idea of what your car will run. Your 60' needs some huge improvments.

we need more info on your runs, what was you 1/8 and 1/4 mph? That 60' is definitely killing your ET majorly your either bogging the car horribly or spinning for the first 200ft.

I dont have the slips on my but the 60ft is really what is killing me. I am babying it off the start than to the mat every gear and using 4th reaching 103 to 105 trap speeds. I think I need to slip the clutch more cuz I know I am bogging it mostly from in experience and not wanting to hurt the rear end. It looks like I got some practicing to be done and the better y pipe merge and maybe a better tune to get it in line power wise. I think my1/8 mile times were around 8.9 to 9.1 in the 80-82 mph range. It is mostly me but I think part of it has to do with the car. I will no more once I get the new y pipe in and go run it again.

i just got an 02 ws6 78000miles bone stock except flowmaster catback. its an a4 with worn street tires. i didnt do a burnout babied it off the line and ruan a best of 13.6 something at 104.88 with a 2.2 or 2.1 60'. so if ur trapping 105 u should be lower then a 13.6 at least.

That mph has low 13s all over it and with your mods Id shift at like 6200. Get some Nittos if its a semi DD run them at 18psi and do a good long burn out and leave about 4k quickly slipping the clutch. That should drop your times a lot!!!
When my car was almost stock except a cat back and some old nittos it went 13.3@103 driving like that and its a LT1.

If your on street tires you need to get off the line harder, your not going to break that 10 bolt when your spinning anyways and a little wheelspin will be a better launch than bogging it bad or blowing the tires off completely. Work on that first and foremost.

Shift at 6k, put some stickier tires on it and get the sixty down to around 2.0 and you'll be amazed at the difference. It doesn't sound like a mechanical problem.

Posting your timeslips would help alot. I mean you could be running 14.1 or 14.9 for anyone knows. Mine was running low 14s when I bought it stock. Not all Ls1 cars run low to mid 13s out of the box, very few do around here anyway.

True that! You would be amazed at all the slow LS1s you see at the track. Bone stock best I could get from my old LS1 was a 13.9@101 with 200 miles on it.

I would love to just run a low 13 I will have to just try to get my 60ft down in hopes of gettin it there. I am trapping 105 on my best run so I think a low 13 is a good mark I would love to just break into the 12's maybe in time I will.
