Default New All Motor GTO Record

1.37
4.08
6.43@104.59
10.20@130.45

I backed it up with a
1.39
4.11
6.46@104.48
10.23@130.19

All motor Va Speed built LS3 427
Performabuilt 4L60E
FTI 4000 stall

Car has a 10.15 in it as it sits with some more track time and a little colder weather. I'd like to see a 9 second NA pass but it's going to be very hard without adding more power. Any ideas I'm all ears!

The stall allowed me to leave harder and ET better. But as expected I lost a couple mph. Kind of bummed about the mph but excited about the ET. The 28" tires allowed me to cross the traps at 6800 with 3.91s.

That's bad *** Joe.

Send me your tune and I'll set it up to lock the converter up top. Get that MPH back for ya. If you have a data log of the run, send that as well. You got my email......

I had the old converter locking up at WOT but it was a multi disc. This converter is a single disc. I thought about locking it up again but I fear it won't be strong enough to take the abuse on a regular basis.

I'll shoot you the log tonight. I'd really like to get it down to a 9.99@132. I think that would be an awesome and doable goal.

Yeah, check with the converter guys, but I've locked up the single discs before without issue. You probably won't be able to on the jug, but NA might be OK.

Very nice. I'm looking at building a 427 for juice or a procharger once I get this damn bolt on GTO record. That 60' is crazy. I'm cutting 1.61 right now hoping to drop down to the 1.5x.

You going to bring it down to the shootout?

I don't have the jug anymoe. I'm going to lock it next time at the track for a pass and see how it feels and what happens to the mph. I suspect it will be a 10.18@132 next time out.

That and it's quicker, drives better, more consistent, more reliable, etc, etc.

Auto>Manual in all drag racing applications and in day to day driving. The ONLY time I would want a manual over an auto is for road racing.

not looking to cloud up your thread with auto vs manual stuff. good stuff on making the pass on the stock rear.

very nice...you shouldn't have to sacrafise mph for 60 with a converter...Maybe FTI can set you up with a slightly tighter converter up top...

also that 9 sec slip is going to need about 133.5mph...

your best bet is to just wait for cooler air...what was the da

nice runs that is haulin for a gto

Drives like stock until you hit the gas. Have TFS235s and a ported 102 fast with stock ls2 pnp tb.
