Default 05 GTO First time out on my 418 ci ls3 combo

ITs a
418 ls3
prc stage 2 l92 heads with the hollow valves and the .675 lift springs
LG g6x3 camshaft
morel linkbar lifters
ported ls3 intake
circle d 4c converter
3.91 gears

It made 494 RWHP on Kaltechs mustang dyno

I hit a track rental over in NJ . I was very happy with the results

10.71@128 with a 1.56 60 ft

I had my stock 18`s on the car with a MT 265/40/18 drag radial.

I had to really walk it out or the tires would just melt into violent wheel hop.

Anyway race weight was 3720#`s

I have a few 10.7X timeslips all in with 128 mph

I have some vids I just have to find some links

Nice results. Our cars run almost identical times and MPH. The MT drag radials work well.

thanks man
The tires used to be more consistant on the smaller motor but I cant complain at all. I was hoping to drop some 1.4x 60 fts but that wasnt gonna happen that day .

nice results!

I'm sure once you get some traction that ET is going to drop big time.

OffAxis. We ran our ET streets and did cut some better 60' s but gave it back in MPH. The ET's were almost the same within a couple of 100's. The weather wasn't as good when we ran on the ET streets. That could change the times a couple of tenths. You would think that cutting a 1.49 compared to a 1.67 that you would drop ET. Our car also seemed to short shift the 1-2 and the 2-3 when we dead hooked. Too many changes to be sure. Time for true slicks for both of us.

Hey

Im sure if you got your shift points where you should be you will get your mph back. I was thinking of trying a 17 gto rim with a 295/45/17 mt drag radial. I really like the stock look on the car. I figure they are wider and the extra 3 inches I pick up on the sidewall might let me get some better 60 fts.
I do a ton of street driving with the car and although I already bought bigs and littles for it I might not try them till next year. I did crack my stock flywheel so the trans is coming down and I will be sending my circle D in to raise my shift extension a few hundred rpms. If I can lay down a 10.5 or .4 before christmas Ill be real happy with that.

Yea with the 18" tires there isn't much side wall. i have some stock 16 wheels with some dead MT radials on them. I'm thinking of getting a set of 15" wheels and running a radial drag slick. I'm really wanting to be able to run a drag radial and launch at 4000 rpm. This Friday the weather down here is going to be great for a new best with this combo. N2o time!!!.
