N2RacingLS1's Survives 280' Bumper Drag Video Inside

Here are the results from Saturday 12/11/10 at SGMP in GA!
I did not get into the 80's but it was sure fun trying for it!! The car produced several new PB on 125 HP dry nitrous shot with a DA of around +1,200. We had a very good trip for our last one of 2010. No doubt with a - DA it would run in the 80's on the 125 HP jets!
Now it is time to update my sig!

Thanks casper383, the car is coming around pretty good!
I think there are too many variables when using nitrous (Tune A/F, where you pull timing at, bottle pressure, NOS activation and others). I went back and checked the stock cube list and noticed you had 142 MPH and had an ET slower by 4 tenths then the other cars running 142 MPH’s! That seems weird to me!
Anyway I am more excited about the 1.281 60 foot time!!

My mph was up because put local tracks mph beams were off and they fixed them recently. It was around a 139mph pass for mine. But I feel yours should have gone quicker so that's is a little funky to me. Not trying to put you down at all btw just thought I would bring it up to where maybe you were missing something somehwere.

I am guessing you are asking about the method of launch.
The runs at Beech Bend and SGMP were all leaving on the footbrake at 3,000 RPM's. Considering it is leaving on a 3,000 RPM footbrake launch it seems to be getting off the line pretty good to me!
I have a few more things I am going to try and see if I can improve the 60 foot time on our next outing. Hopefully I will have a new PB to start off 2011 with!

We went to Darlington, SC on Saturday 2/12/11 and had a blast! Car ran its best ever NA run of 10.47 ET at 127.19 MPH on its fifth run of the day. I then put the nitrous bottle in it and changed the tune. I had also installed a FJO controller that I was looking forward to playing with. I Locked down the front end and went up for a pass and came away with this video! Let me say right off that it was no fun and actually happened before I could even react!

When the car came down it did not seem to land very hard and was still going straight so since I was on the gas as it was coming down I stayed in it and ran a 10.18 ET at 132.39 MPH! I went back to my pit and checked everything over. Marked the back bumper, front bumper and scraped the headers just a little bit. Everything looked OK so I went out and made another NA pass just to see how the car ran and it ran a 1.41 60' foot with a 10.63 ET at 125.24 MPH with the front end locked down so it seems to be OK.

I was standing right behind the car when you left the starting line and I thought that you were going to go over backwards. I'm just glad that the car went straight so that you didn't have to lift of the throttle and damage more parts when it sat the front end down. The secret to the new best N/A time was the "magic screwdriver". LOL.
