Default Another almost stock ls1 6 speed time

60' 2.473
330 6.246
1/8 9.278
mph 80.76
1000' 11.870
1/4 14.032
mph 104.31

Damn street tires are killing me. This was at Tulsa Raceway park in oklahoma.
All it has is gutted cats and muffler delete.
I was tryen REALY HARD for a 13.xxx but it never happend.

Car spun hard off the line but hooked realy well in second. Also is it just me or are all the 3.42 cars hitting the revlimiter in third right before you cross the line? When i get some sticky tires i know i will be in 4th at the end of the track

How do you launch your car? Are you slipping the clutch off the line or just lugging it out of the hole? Im talkin to the steet tire folks.

What he said.
My car is a M6 as well, Its been a long time ago but my best times stock were 13.4s at 109mph with horible 60's. Then once I got the car hooking on drag radials I picked up some time but the mph drop a little due to the car hooking up.

I was getting 2.0 sixtys with street tires, you definetly got under 14s in your car.

start with 3k launches and work from there. also i know it sounds stupid but make sure you got traction control off, some people forget lol

lol yea it was off. There is a story behind that... I killed the car b/c they thought somthin got spilled on the track and it takes them forever to open it back up and i forgot to turn it off before i dusted off the tires and i killed it...... lol i looked like a dumb ***.

Does this time look normal?

I just leave mine in 3rd when I cross the finish, it bangs the limiter and consistently traps 103.5 for me. I had a few times I could get it in to 4th real fast (I have sticky clutch issues) and it went 104.5.

factory gearing sucks

1/4 13.685

I had a 2.1 60' but i pucked it up... i missed 3rd and ran a 13.75. The car launched good and i got excited from the good start and missed 3rd lol

I cleaned the air filter (k&n), i also noticed on my stock lid it has a rubber that connects the lid to the stock baffles and the bottom part of the rubber had come out of the grove and was puched up and was blocking air. I got that fixed and cleaned the air filter... It was nasty.

Fixing that and i got a new technique for launching and it = a lot better times

i took my ls1 ta to the track today in wichita and it ran 13.6 at 106mph. all i have done to it is catback, slp lid, tune, 3.42 gears , and gutted cats. the thing that sucks is that i got there and started to run right away and didnt let the car cool down. I was think it would have hit at least 13.3 but i never got to run it after i let it cool down. The thing that sucks is that it is a auto.

next month i am getting 4.10's and a lid. I hope to run a 13 flat. And then hopfully in a few weeks i can get some et streets and join the 12 second club.

Damn auto cars have a good 60'. It takes skill to get a good takeoff in a stick car.

Sounds like a pretty good plan and best of luck with your 12's goal. You should put longtubes in your plans for the future sometime as well.
