Default bolt on only

01 ws6 175k miles
stock ls6 intake
longtubes
offroad y pipe
flowcrapster
tuned
with mt drag radials it ran

r/t .270
60' 2.003
330 5.6
1/8th 8.504
mph 85.87

It felt like the car bogged off the line...like it couldn't spin the tires and they gripped so much it held it back...if that makes since...plus it was humid and raining 3 miles down the road...just a muggy alabama night.

should i be disapointed in my car

with a good stall could i break into the very high 7's?

Double post!!!! LOL you just posted this in auto tranny section, but anyways you should get a 3600-3800 if you plan on cam in the future or a 3400-3600 if you don't plan on doing cam

i disagree. i think you need a 4400 stall regardless of what your future mods are. i went with a 4k and wished i had gone larger.

car seems to run ok for the mods (and mileage). i'd guess better weather would bring quite a bit more in terms of trap speed. my bolt-on car went 7.6s @ 3600lb, high 7s shouldn't be a problem. my car (with just a lid) went from 8.7 to 8.0 in the 1/8, stock tune etc etc 2000 273 car. it only trapped 80 (down from 83 before stall) due to the trans not cooperating.

this was all done with a da between 2k and 3k..

Yeah go back to stock height and put a nice 3600+ converter in it and your times should improve drastically.

So does the car seem like it's doing alright for what it is. I guess the stall is the big thing killing it off the line. I left at idle also tried to hold it at like 1200 but didn't help..actually ran .08 slower.

about the best 60' i've seen on the stock stall was in the mid 1.8 range. a bigger stall will def help you out off the line and down the track for that matter.

cars runs good for what it is. what was the da on that pass?
