Default 1/8th mile, Lid only 2001 SS A4

Picked up my SS about a month ago and finally got a few passes in last night. I had planned on going to the 1/4 mile track in Fayetteville, but it got rained out so I went to Roxboro instead. My car has an SLP lid and a home ported throttle body. I removed the spare/Jack and ran on just under half a tank. The temps were about 80 degrees, so not too bad. I only got 3 passes in due to the track closing 45 minutes after I got there, so all passes were made while the car was hot. The 1st pass was the only decent one, so I won't even post the other 2.

2.01 60'
1/8th mile ET, 8.6
1/8TH mile trap, 85.4 mph

I was pretty happy with it. My Mach ran a 8.6 at 84 mph, and the 1/4 mile on that run was a 13.1 at 107, so I figure my SS ought to be good for about the same 1/4. Only one way to find out though, lol.

No doubt man, I'm hoping to knock off a tenth or two once we start getting some 50-60 degree air.

Nice! That's what I've been wondering. I may even be able to touch 107 since my 1/8th was 85, maybe, lol.

Ya most cars pickup 22-24 mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4..

I just got it tuned today (off dyno), but it feels much better, firmed up the shifts, cut torque management way back, added timing, etc. Hoping to knock off a decent amount next time out.

I'll be out at Fayetteville tomorrow, for the "race for the cure" event, should be some good prep and a good show. Just enter it in the street car shootout, even if you dont win, you'll have a great track to run on, and its a charity for the American Cancer Society.

Good idea, I might do that if the rain holds off.

Creech. I ran it in Benson and it picked up 2 tenths, same 1800' DA as before and same 2.0 60'. It didn't pick up any trap though

So whose your tuner, RPM or Mayhem?

C'mon now guys. Don't bash the man unless you have good reason. He's been in the game now for way longer than most in the area and knows his stuff. We all know about the infamous Z06. Employee was fired, Vette owner was paid, Jeff is embarrassed.... old news. Now if there's something else I don't know about, by all means speak up!
