Default 1st time out with the 454

got kicked out for not having a roll bar after a couple passes

first pass on a greasy track was 12.2 @ 129

couldn't get the car to 60' any better than 1.90.

best ET was 11.23 at 130mph with a 2.00 60'.

car weighs 3560 with me in it and 1/2 tank of fuel on 15" Bogart bolted RT's.

i was running 275/50/15 ET Street Radials. i think i'm going to switch to some ET Streets and make some rear suspension adjustments and shoot for 10.50's or so.....driving it to the track and home....NA, pump gas

Get the scatter shield man, i would def get a bias ply on it, keeps the rpm's up on the launch and they hook pretty good. Best for a stick car. Not sure what rpm's you turn but a 26 incher would probably keep you better in power band and help keep from boggin on the launch. Et drag is better (i assume) but i am sure you want a dot legal tire on it.

Scatter shield and biased plys were always the plan, just didn't have the money at the time. I got a good deal on my Bogarts so I pulled the trigger on them....i wanted gold magnums, but the bolted RTs look pretty ****, so I'm happy for now. Scatter shield will be in the mail in a couple weeks....any recommendations on which one to go with?

I have a quicktime bellhousing on mine, no problems other than the bleeder valve pressing up against belhousing, a little grinding and that was fixed.

Congrats, I stumbled on your car and (engine) on youtube and got a kick out of seeing you start that sucker up. Just like I'd build a motor if I was in the position to do so. To hell with FI.

ok, i'm tire-stupid...what's the C07? someone told me i should use a ET Street "S" tire...? i'm guessing that's something related to sidewall stiffness? or compound?

CO7 is the tire compound. We've gone 8.9 with that tire and 1.30 60' times. Tried many tires on this car. The Hoosier is the one we solely use now.
