DR question
DR question last time i went to the track i had a 2.20 60' with street tires. i ran a 13.23 at 106 mph, my best trap was 108.40. my question is i have just put on nitto nt05r dr's say if i can get down to a 1.7-1.8 60' what should i run. thanks in advance.
not enough info on other mods("other goodies")..is the motor all stock?..DR's will help. alot, but if ur hiding mods., u may want to go to a shorter rim , w/ stickier tire/ taller tire height..2.20 sucks for a stalled auto..are U stuck on buying Nitto's?..looking at whats in ur sig, is ur pinion angle correct? the questions can keep coming from the rest of us..
no its a bone stock 02 motor just has new tr55 plugs and msd wires,p&p tb,1 7/8 LT'S and ORY,stock springs/shocks, pinion angle is at -1*. still on stock tune with all codes deleted.also on all those runs i didnt touch the air pressure so they were at 32.
were u going thru the water w/ streets? thats a no no..but yes a good DR will net u the 60ft.'s ur looking for..with a good DA u should b way quicker than that! good pinion angle is -2
I do mostly 1/8 mile and i know for sure when I go 2.0 60's I'm in the 8.5 range, and with low 1.82's i am 8.22 all day long.
I have the NT05R's now and they are very sticky! not even a comparison to the 555R's. I went 1.76 60 foot so far with 3200stall/2.73 gear. 555's couldnt hold a full stall launch. These can and then some. I cant wait til i get 3.73's in
Thanks Orr, I didn't get to go Friday but I'm going if no rain on the 7th. ive driven the NT05's around on the street and they hook good with no heat up. they liked 2k launches with no heat up,3k they spun again this was on the street only so far. and they work good in rain had to drive in it this morning.

I just tested mine the other day, and they worked well. Car doesnt have enough gear/stall to really put them to the test but I got a 1.76 60 out of a 3200 stall 2.73 gear setup. Highway car but it moves fairly well for bolt ons.
