Just finished the FRA mod. Can't believe I haven't done it before now, lol. I opened up the front of the air box a good bit as well.

Skater, how are those LTs coming?

Installed, 7 1/2 hours later. My dipstick tube was a huge pita and the rear exhaust clamp broke. Headers dropped in from the top on both sides pretty easily. Everything bolted up ok and got the o2s wires strapped up and out of the way. Only problem I really have is the factory exhaust didn't want to slip into the new stuff. Fought that for a while but need a new clamp to finish up.

That was quick! Well, 3.5 hours quicker than my install anyway, lol.

You fired her up yet? Run down to your local autoparts store and grab an exhaust clamp, I want to hear it (vid?).

My SLP didn't want to slip on without a fight either. Anytime you're dealing with pre-clamped exhaust, you're going to have that problem.

So the dipstick was an issue? Mine wasn't too bad. Were the LTs in the way or did you just have trouble finding the original location?

Actually had trouble getting the dipstick to come out. Worried about breaking it. Wiggled and pulled and pulled for a long time before it came out.

No vid yet, still not completely together. Long story but parts stores that have the clamp are all closed.

It's got a minor leak where the slip fit cuts are on the stock i pipe. If I give it any gas it will pull apart again. Just have to wait.

dammit!! Lol, that's the way it goes. Try to pull that pipe together as much as you can. I used a flat head to widen the cat-back as much as I could, then beat the hell out of it with a hammer to get it to slip in. Can't wait for you to get everything together and tuned to see what she does!

After today I just want it to drive to work. Lol. No Ses light yet though after a couple of startups. Not sure what that's about unless it takes a while? I removed the air system while I was in there. Should be throwing something...

That CEL light is coming, don't worry, lol. Give it 25-40 miles, it'll pop up and start commanding fuel, trust me. Good thing is that it's perfectly safe until you get that thing tuned. Your biggest issue will be black soot on the tailpipes until she's tuned. When is this tune taking place anyway?

Sounds sweet man, nice and mellow. Really curious how it'll sound at part and WOT. You still planning on doing the magnaflow catback?

I think I'll keep this for a bit, that exhaust I got ended up being a series 80 flow and I'm liking the clean sound the stock stuff has at the moment. Really want to avoid rasp and such.

I'll have to get the wife to rev it for me do I can get a video from the back.

Sounds good! Flowmaster always sounds good but every body does not like the cat-back

I think the 80 series is supposed to actually be as or more restrictive than the OEM muffler. Absolutely no idea if there's any truth to that or not.

Skater, if you ever do decide to get a cat back and are interested in an LM2, hit me up and I'll cut you a friendly deal. I'm kind of leaning towards a true dual (X-pipe) dumped set-up. Really like the TSP. Just throwing it out there..

Stone how are you getting traction? 1st and 2nd are worthless now.

You have 275 f1s?? My little 245s are not going to cut it anymore.

I have 275/17s Hankooks all the way around. I think between the tires and 3.23s, and much warmer roads, I'm a lot better off in that department. Although, I just pushed the button on 3.73s, lol...so it maybe short lived.

So traction is noticeably worse now? That's a good problem to have, lol.

Yeah it was about 20 earlier and we have some salt on the roads but before I was able to use 3rd wot with no issues. Can't do it now at all... Lol. It's not the worst problem to have I guess. Haha

Good part about it is that as long as you're spinning you're not breaking parts. Hooking and hard launches is what'll cost ya. These Hankooks grip pretty damn good. If anything, you may want to look into a 555R or something. Really curious to see where you're at track wise, later in the year.
