Was good and smooth. I wasn't WOT shifting but shifting quick. As far as the run went, my fastest pass was 25psi tire pressure and the shocks were pretty soft. I drive around the burnout out box, spun the tires clean, staged, around 2500 rpms I would slip the clutch some the go WOT, shift at 6000-6200. Then pass the quarter and shut down.

That is part of your problem, but , probably not all of it. That cam will need to be shifted around 6800 if not a little higher to maximize it.

Looks similar to what my old car ran cam only with a 231/232 .612/.588 111+4 cam in it. Put down 387 RWHP on the dyno, which doesn't mean much, and it ran a best of 12.9 @ 113 with a horrible 60'. It trapped between 110-113 depending on the launch on bald Sumitomo street tires. I never thought my car ran right compared to other cam only set ups at the track but it held it's own on the street from a roll. The tune left little to be desired for me as well I know, but I never had it re-tuned or changed anything before I sold it.

I would start by getting your tune looked at to make sure it's good and see where the limiter is set, and try shifting that thing higher as previously suggested.

that da is horrible but even if you ran in 0da your still lacking mph,get some type of ramair on that thing and shift atleast at 6600.

6000-6200 is way to low,a bolton, stock cam car should be shifting there.
any idea on raceweight?

Not sure on raceweight. Car is a 02 Z28 M6 ttop car with no spare tire and a 160 pound driver. I think a mixture of the DA and my low shifting RPM is where i lost my trap

My car was faster than that stock. Your trap speeds are the same as my car now, with me running 13.07 @ 109. something weird!!!

Trap speed seems right to me considering the circumstances. That cam requires higher shift points plus if you are wheel hopping into 2nd, that is hurting your momentum. Sort out your traction issues and your trap speed should increase considerably.

My thoughts:

--2.2 short time you will drop 3-4 tenths if you can get that to a high 1.9.
--QA1's front and rear? Keep the butt down and the nose high. I'd run the rear's a little softer than 50/50 and run the fronts a little stiffer than 50/50.
--Shift higher as noted. Trap speeds are low for the mods, would expect 114. Try 6500, 6700... You might need a tach or a shift light to become more consistent. I bet you are shifting like at 5800.
--ET and trap speed are two different issues for you. Try to fix 1-2 things per pass but don't do 3-4.

What do you guys think? I was rolling into 1st not dumping the clutch and It was wheel hoping pretty bad in 1st and very bad in 2nd. I know its on street tires but i was hoping to do better than that. Anything i could do with my current setup to get better ETs?
Man my car did the same thing. Mine is a 2001 Trans Am, 3500 stall, long tubes, cam, ported tb, ls6 intake, eibach springs with stock shocks. Its on a goodyear eagle f1 street tire, but i only went 13.6 at 104. My 60 foot was a 2.00 flat.
I was expecting way more from it. BUT, my car does not have a tune yet...

my car with a lid and muffler trapped identical to yours, a few passes just a touch more. same track, roughly the same da, i think it was closer to 25-2700' the days i was out there. i'd guess you're not revving it high enough. any dyno sheets with the caR?

OP, I agree w/ most of the replies,
1) Get a good Torque Arm
2) Get some DR's
3) Get a dyno tune w/ that to see where ur max h.p./torque is at, to figure out when to shift

good luck with the 10 bolt rear..keep us advised

I was running some bad times. It just takes practice. I eventually got to 12.5 at 115.

You're not going to get the most out of it with the M6 and 10 bolt with street tires. Any better tire or if you don't control the wheel hop and she'll blow. I'm in the same boat right now with almost the same times.

Were you the Camaro with the paper plate on it?
I was stagged next to you. Black third gen with draglites.

Check and make sure you are indeed getting wot at your throttle body. The first Wednesday tnt I was at I was only getting 1/2 throttle due to throttle cable issues. Went out and picked up 1.2 sec. And over 15mph. I know it sounds stupid but seeing that you just bought the car you never know what someone else fugged up. Lol
