Made it to the track and not what i was expecting 13.4@110
Made it to O'Reilly Raceway Park yesterday for the opening day of test and tune and wasn't satisfied. The car is a 2002 M6 Z28. MS3 Cam/Valvetrain Upgrades, Long Tubes, ORY, Borla, pro5.0, spec 3+, 4.10 10 bolt with a girdle, 3pt subframe connectors, poly ta mount, control arms, strut tower bar, 12 way QA1's, on BFG G-Sport street tires. I got 3 runs in and below are the times
................Run 1..............Run 2..............Run 3
60ft..........2.218..............2.454............ ..2.242
330ft.........6.091.............6.215............. ..6.013
1/8............9.120............. 9.124.............. 8.955
1/8 mph......83.06.............85.37............... 84.76
1000ft........11.634............11.578............ 11.428
1/4............13.711............13.620............. 13.485
1/4 mph......109.18............110.66.............109. 94
What do you guys think? I was rolling into 1st not dumping the clutch and It was wheel hoping pretty bad in 1st and very bad in 2nd. I know its on street tires but i was hoping to do better than that. Anything i could do with my current setup to get better ETs?

I know. I was expecting a lot faster. Would the TA take care of the wheel hop? Im pretty sure thats where i was losing most of my ET. That and street tires.

Wheel hop, I would start with your lower control arms and rear shocks. Tubular non adjustable lca's can get for around 100 bucks. Than rear shocks auto store it helped me a lot and made my car plant harder. Then do a t/a

Just saw you had contol arms, man I just put lca's and panhard bar and new rear shocks and made a hell of a difference. I would look into a misfire or ect or trans for the low trap times.

Where were you shifting, what RPM? Also, walk us through your launch procedure, from the time you roll up to the water box until you are off the clutch and WOT. Also noticed you have a lot of mods including a cam, but wheres the tune?

I'm not sure of DA or the hydraulics. My shifting
Was good and smooth. I wasn't WOT shifting but shifting quick. As far as the run went, my fastest pass was 25psi tire pressure and the shocks were pretty soft. I drive around the burnout out box, spun the tires clean, staged, around 2500 rpms I would slip the clutch some the go WOT, shift at 6000-6200. Then pass the quarter and shut down.

No numbers. Previous owner said he went 13.1 at 112.9. I bought the car in Michigan where it was tuned and ran at the strip. Would the car run different from MI to IN?

My nittos take a lot of time in the box before they'll stick on the line. Back into the box and burn the snot out of them. As far as your wheel hop, does it hop at all on the street? If not, your spinning tires and vht on the track are probably causing the hop. Stop the spinning and you should have no issues. With your trap speed, you will be mid/low 12's if you get that 60' time down.

Mine are street too, 275 nt555, not DR's. I ran almost the exact same time slips doing a small burnout before the line. Spun all through 2nd gear. I forget the DA last year but a 2.0 60' got me a 12.4x time, you have more mods than I do and you should get a faster et. Launch at a little lower rpm to help the grip and roll into wot, 2nd gear will plant if you can hold 1st gear powerband at wot.
