Default Broke into the 10's today with my bolt on C5!

The air was decent today at Atco Raceway (-1100' according to the dragtimes calculator)

Mods in sig. Internally stock LS1

Saw new bests all around as I Ran a 10.93 @ 122.87mph on a 1.41 60' then backed it up with a 10.94 @ 122.08 mph on a 1.40 60'

Pretty sure the front tires came off the ground a lil bit as well. The launch pic on my 10.93 pass on DaveMilcarek's website from Atco raceway 11-04-12

I havent weighed the car lately, but if I had to take an educated guess, I'd say it was in the 3100lb range with me in it

You know how I roll!

You may very well witness history in the making tomorrow night if all goes well a 10.88 (or faster) would make me the overall quickest bolt on C5, including the c5 z06's.

that is a LOT of mph for bolt ons...you sure there isn't a baby cam in there?

that DA is pretty boss though. What all has bee removed? 3100lb race weight is light.

I thought so too, but there are other bolt on LS1 cars on the list which have trapped 120+ and upwards of 124. Sme factors include having the right combo, locking the converter up top (gained 2+mph in that alone), Great negative DA -1000' or better, aerodynamics and raceweight. It dyno'd 362/382 through a locked converter (ive heard that it tends to read lower when unlocked due to converter slip) hp peaked at 5400-5500 and torque peaked at 4400-4500

I was thinking about dyno'ing it unlocked to see what it says.

as far as weight redux goes, any weight that was removed can be put back in, or the parts were replaced with something lighter.

figured I'd give a lil run down of my ET/MPH and what mods I had at the different times of my passes. All passes made at Atco Raceway here in New Jersey. Track elevation is a mere 33' above sea level.

10-2-2010 bought the car bone stock with 78k miles on it.

10-2010 Free mods (zip tie mod, muffler delete) z06 motorsport wheels and 295 35 18street tires outback(26.1" tall) 2.73 gears 13.01 @ 107 2.000 60' dead hooking

end of October- added Vararam, tune, (my stock tune was stock) Dragpack consisting of 275 40 17 mickey thompson dr's (25.66" tall)mounted on stock 17x8.5 thin spokes and gto spares up front, pulled air filter- 12.23@112mph 1.86 60' mightve trapped 113 but not on my quickest pass
The DA was better but i cant remember by how much

11-2010 one week later, added longtubes (1-3/4 primaries) 2.5" off road xpipe, 160* stat and TMR tune, filter pulled, better DA 11.91@116 1.80 60'

a week after that- added a 3400 fuddle converter, shift kit, TMR retuned for those items, filter pulled, DA was the same as my 11.91 pass- 11.41@118.98mph 1.60 60'

2011- added fast 90mm intake and TB, slp UD pulley, 3.42 gears, TMR retuned, estimated 3110 rw,
the DA was awesome at time of pass on 12/2011 11.07 @ 121.41mph 1.49 60' DA was somewhere around -1800' according to Dragtimes DA calculator. temps in the low 40s, baro was 30.64 inHg and humidity was 35%

6-2012 Added Circle D 5C converter, went up to Kooks 1-7/8" headers with 3" offroad xpipe, Meziere EWP, bought a lightly ported fast 90mm intake from a friend of mine,

best pass to date 11-2012 10.93 @ 122.87 mph 1.41 60' estimated RW 3100lb. I want to weigh the car soon.

According to the Dragtimes DA calculator -1000'

Hope this helps!

What are your shift points at for each gear and about where does your rpm's drop to when going to the next gear?

Thanks for your mods run down. I was hoping you would share that....some are secretive about that **** which is gay IMO.

Good job with the car. Boltons are fun to tinker with. Anything done to the suspension to get that 1.4 60'?

It shifts between 6100-6200 and my shift extensions are between 5200-5300

No problem, and thank you I can understand why some people might want to be secretive bout their setup, as they wouldnt want someone to copy it lol. Other than removing the front sway bar & lowering the car with the stock bolts up front, and lowering it with aftermarket bolts out back, the suspension is stock. When I first got this car, I was worried to death about wheelhop bc of the IRS, but thankfully, it hooks. I was thinking about getting some single adjustables for the rear to help limit the amount of "squat" on the launch. But other than that, Im really happy with how it works

Congrats! You would be hard pressed to squeeze much more ET out of 122 MPH, you are making the most out of the horsepower. Good job!

Thanks! and I agree. I think the 3.90s might gain me a tenth at most in ET, maybe pick up .25-.5 mph. But after that, its either run in better air, lighten it up some more or both lol. I want to weigh this car soon so I have an accurate RW. I was guessing around 3100 as it sits
