Times seem reasonable. Not bad at all.

Hopefully, I run better. I will see in the next coming months and will update.
Sounds good I'm willing to bet you will pick up a good bit of mph. So many people overlook those simple things and wonder why their car is slow or traps shitty.

In for results. My 98 t/a bone stock ran 13.8@102 with roughly 1000da. I'm considering maintenance items too at 100k miles. Mine has 2.73 gears. Guy driving was 150lbs.

No results as of yet.

I would highly recommend you do all the above maintainance, it made a night and day difference.

I'm also adding a dynomax cat back & SLP lid. I'll be curious to see what that will add too.

Well, I went to the track today. It wasn't good.

I ran 13.5 - 13.8 @ 100 - 102 mph. This is after the full tune up, plugs, wires, fuel filter, o2 sensors, and, pcv valve. I also added a Diablo tune, & a SLP lid.

Im starting to believe there is something wrong with the car. I have scanned for codes SEVERAL TIMES. Can not find anything! It runs & drives great, no issues what so ever.

I checked the DA, & it was 156 ft. I also had less than a 1/4 tank of fuel. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

There's nothing wrong with the car. You aren't hooking, both your MPH and ET will be down (not much for MPH though).

Yeah, I had small amount of wheel spin at the start.

I was cutting 2.0 60 fts last time, & now I was cutting 2.1 - 2.2. It was very humid & warm last night. But, I would have at least expected for the mph to be up. My best was a 13.4 @ 102 last time! So, it has dropped 4 tenths and around 2 mph....

Man you're doing fine. Ya had nasty air which never translates into optimal track conditions, stage gets loose. And if the herd is burning out on street tires, they're carrying loose rubber onto the stage and the track rarely gives the stage it's best work on TnT night. 'Sal good...

Get a cold air intake to open the breather up and once ya see how well that works, nature will take it from there. Be a good idea at that point to take your name off the kids college fund, tho'.

The clock, she's a cruel temptress...

Yes, she is!! Ive been drag racing for about 6 years, and its so addicting! When stuff like this happens, it drives me nuts.

I will literly, go in the garage and tear everything down looking for a problem. Haha

What I'm at least grateful about is the mph, it hasn't went under 100 mph. So, the car is making power.

Im just concerned I guess, I just don't want to invest the cash if the car isn't going to return.

I plan on putting a Yank SS4000 stall, long tubes, & tune here soon. The last thing I want is to have it run terrible times. The MPH is already terrible IMO.

Then your da was not 154ft , are you confusing the tracks altitude with da?

Hot humid weather kills power , low trap=low power

Maybe I am. Here is the info from yesterday:

Track Elevation:

154 feet above sea level

Air Temperature: 57.9 F

Barometric Pressure: 30.12 inches Hg

Relative Humidty: 89%

Density altitude: 73 ft above sea level

It felt a lot hotter than 57 degrees. I was sweating while sitting in the staging lanes. It must have been the humidity...

If the info on that slip was right, then that puts the da at 77ft above sea level.
But just to back up what the other guys are saying, it's not abnormal to run those times on a bone stock car. Its basically what I see in my area.

bad o2s can cause the computer to add fuel when its not needed. positive long term trims over 5% are added to WOT which can cause a loss of power.

i agree the MPH seems low. the automatic cars ive seen run here trap around 104mph. if you can try swapping the maf or atleast cleaning yours.

I've cleaned the MAF. And, when cleaning, I didn't notice any debris, and there are no fault codes. I know that doesn't always mean its bad, but it could be possible.

I have no symptoms of a bad MAF, & o2 senso;rs are brand new denso's.

Now, I do have a funky oil pressure gauge that tends to go down a tad when I push on pedal around 2k rpm. And, my oil pressure sits around 35 psi at 600 rpm idle when at operating temp. But, I would think my engine would have blown to pieces when I ran it at the track if I had oil pressure issues. I hot lapped it a couple times too...

That's interesting. My O2s are bad I believe (one or two of them), have been for a while, but I never bothered replacing them because the codes eventually went away...I might replace them now.
