Open up the airbox first. I think you'll be surprised. Leave the muffler on for now. Ur car will be flyin and doing it silently.

The Buick in my signature just ran a 8.39 the other weekend. We didn't turn on the electric pump, im thinking it need new plugs plus we was working the bugs out on the driveshaft. 8.33 is damn near close to 8.0s and with some tuning and other stuff you may see it... Good luck.

Since you have a higher than stock stall converter, I wouldn't change your gears. You can easily go into the 7s with 3.23s and your mods, plenty of guys on here do it including me. And that extra cash can be spent on a tune, much bigger gains to be had there.

Gears help manual transmission cars and autos with stock torque converters, but stalled autos not so much.

I had 2 sets of 26 inch tires. A set of 275/50/15 et street radials, and 26/10.5/15 qtps. Cut mid 1.5s all the time. Also had 2 sets of 275/60/15 et street radials and cut mid 1.5s. Nothing changed for me what so ever. No et gain no mph gain, nothing. Da was the same for all passes. Sounds like you need a bigger converter.
