it ran like ****,8.50 @ 83 mph ,stall would not go past 1800,2.0 60ft ,i had nitrous plugs in also,im sure that didnt help(i didnt have the spray on) the 28" tire with a 323 gear didnt help either but i still figured it would have ran better

One mod that is desperately needed in that list is a tune. With that larger MAF you're fueling is probably off considerably. Dialing in that MAF alone will probably get you at least a couple MPH. And trans tuning for that stall will probably get you a few tenths on top of that.

get your stuff together and hit the track prepared.

your best 60 was a 2.0 ?

no one else saw the recipe for fail? come on man , the first mod listed was a cowl hood lol.

put ngk tr55s in it, some 26" tires, the stock maf and get it tuned. that car should pick up 5-6 mph, esp this time of year in the Midwest.

Ran great but 28" tires is no different than hooking a trailer to it.. So it actually ran great considering ypu hooked a trailer to it! I feel for you, my car actually picked up 7.2mph in the 1/4 by going from 28" to a 26" tire.. No joke. I ran the 28's for 4 years dude.... 4 years of pulling a trailer!! Ha

4000 stall is needed for optimum smiles.

I went from 28" tires (325/50/15 ET Radials) to 25.5" (275/50/15 ET radials). Car didn't gain anything...same 60ft, same 1/8th mile mph, and same 1/4 mph.

This is with 3.42 gear and SS3600 converter

Similar DA and same track? I'd think with that big of a change something on the slip would be different.

Same track and lots of slips from different days with each. Any time you match days with close DA the times and MPH are as close as back to back passes same day.

I was really hoping to gain a few mph from the switch due to being lighter and the gearing advantage. Car definitely feels faster on the street on the shorter tire.

EDIT:

My only other thought is that maybe my car is still under geared with even the shorter tire and a deep enough gear to make it fall into a more desirable RPM would show better results? But as is the car has never really responded to gearing changes since I've owned it. Started with 2.56, then 3.08, and finally 3.42
