Default First track day 1/8 mile

Last night was my first time taking my car out after buying it in January 2021. I’ve been working on it since buying it going from a t56 to a th400 swap then rebuilding the engine and doing all drag suspension. This was also my first time drag racing in about 7 years. Fastest I’ve been before was 7.7 in my old car which was a Evo 9.

First pass was 7.67 at 69.93mph. Spun bad and aborted the run.
Second pass was 6.8x at 112.xx. Spun bad again but stayed in it.

I’m the left lane 1776 car. This was on my third pass ever with this car.

I’m beyond happy with the results and shocked it did so well considering it was my third pass ever and by far my fasted pass ever.

Quick run down on the set up.

430” ls6 block with Darton sleeves. Mild ported 243 heads. D1SC. Th400. 12 bolt. Afco double adjustable coilovers at all four corners. And on e85. On the dyno I was having belt slip issues and was only able to make 11lbs and made 635whp. I think I was making 13-15lbs last night as I tighten the belt more before going out yesterday.

Here’s the video, not sure if it works on here

That's great. If I'd just put a blower on mine that's where I'd be in that neighborhood. What compression you running? What is your fuel setup? Injectors and pump?

9.62:1 compression. Twin in tank 450s both on all the time, -8 feed and -6 return, aeromotive boost referenced FPR, and fuel injector clinic 1200cc injectors.

Went back Thursday night. Had trouble getting the car to hook on the transbrake, so on my last pass I footbraked it and it hooked better but still spinning a bit.
